Circoloco closing

I'm one of DC-10's biggest fans. Entry to this round 10pm-ish was one of the worst controlled experiences I have seen in ages. Hugely disappointed. Ever heard of crowd control barriers ? People behaving like animals and stressed bouncers physically charging the line. Nearly gave up bothering to get in at all.

Inside and outside not much better. Elbowing, shoving, stamping, etc - A definite "fail" and after the atmosphere at Space (epic) an overall "dud". Left after about 2 hours. What a shame. Had a better time partying round the car in the car park !!!!!

PS Jamie - you may have had the last slot in the garden but the party was going on for another 6 hours after. Hanging chords for 3 minutes at a time might be OK if you've fallen down the K-hole but having hundreds of people standing around looking bored is just plain poor. Get a grip !!!

Es Vive after-party like a set from "The only way is Essex". Unreal. Expected Katie Price to appear any minute (blows raspberry) ! Time for a sharp exit !

I think DC10 is getting too popular for its own good. It was beyond rammed the 2 nights I was there last month.

We must start criticizing the club on the forum in the hopes that fewer people will be encouraged to go and we can go back to enjoying it at previous levels

That will be one of the big reasons.

It is the only place in Ibiza that is seen on this forum to be a 'must go' by everyone on here pretty much.

I agree with this 100% , luckily we had a spotlight tickets so the queue was small to get in as most seemed to be queuing for tickets.

When we got in the club it was just to busy, way over capacity think I queued for the toilet for best part of any hour. We ended only staying 3 hours we were just sick of being elbowed, and being moved out the way by people trying to get by us.

To think I went in July and it was one of the best nights out of my life this time probably one of the worst! To think as well Space Closing was EPIC!!!! Have to say Armin Van Buuren knows how to play to a large crowed in the Flight Arena....AMAZING!!!

Sad to be home now but will be back next year for Openings, but seriously doubting if I'll do DC10 Opening!

Agreed. Horrible party. I got there pretty early at 4:30 and while outside was pretty crowded, inside was not at all and it started out fine. Once the Martinez Brothers came on at 8 or something it was pretty rammed everywhere but still do-able. They played the best set I heard there. The guy after them, Andrew grant I think, sucked. But by that time it was a lost cause anyway. You couldn't move anywhere. It was scary. Bathroom lines were a joke. There were cops and bouncers everywhere.....vibe sucked.....pretty sure nobody had a good time. Way oversold and it pisses me off my first dc10 experience was ruined except for the first few hours. I left before midnight and the door scene looked like a disaster.

Space closing on the other hand was awesome.

Definitely. I'm going to slate the place for the next 11 months in the hope that I can reduce the numbers by at least 1%.

any piccies of paris hilton?!

No but she was carried in past us by the bouncers whilst we were inside - after about 100 fee-paying punters had just about been lamped trying to get in.

Either it is non-VIP everyone equal or it is not. No respect. Let her be shoved around. If she still wants more let her in !!!

Oh ... though Sands after-party was ace. Carl Cox played about 10mins at Mambo then left today. Piss poor. Sunset, however, was the best in years. Absolute spiritual heaven from Savannah with perfect soundtrack and viewpoint.

How was Carl Cox's 5 hour closing set at Space??

and Fanciulli?

and Lawler?

and Carl Craig?

lol

Went to the DC-10 closing last year and stayed inside as the terrace and the outside bit were too busy too, sounds like this year was worse though.

When we went this year at the start of Sep it was fine. Guess it was a one off!

Sad that Circo loco packed them in like that. We constantly have a go at SWM and Guetta for overcrowding their nights at Pacha and DC-10 are doing the same thing.

Gutted I missed Space closing, it was a cracker by all accounts

i must of been at a different place then as i had an AMAZING time. i agree not every DJ was on form but it was unreal still with the dj's that smashed it.

its the closing party? do you expect it to be empty? cant understand how people moan about parties being so busy, just get on with it and enjoy your self rather than moaning

Some of my mates where there and said it was very busy but still had a great time. They stayed from 4pm to close. On the other hand they said amnesia closing was to over crowded and very uncomfortable.

I think we all knew it was gonna be busy but this was beyond over sold. You couldn't move anywhere in the place, forget about dancing.....I could barely scratch my nose. I knew I should have went the previous Monday but overslept. I'm sure there were plenty of paying customers that never even made it in. Everyone I spoke to the next day said how big of a cluster**** it turned out to be.

I was there the week before the closing party and i thought it was very busy, so can only imagine how busy the closing was. I still had a great time though, there must be something seriously wrong if u dont have a good time at circoloco.

Agree 100%. We went week before closing. Stayed 2 hours then went to toolroom closing at space for free which was awesome. Especially D Ramirez and Kim Fai

Toolroom was the best night I went to all holiday 10/10. And not the sort of music I would have normally chosen. I am now going to try more techy type nights

I was there that night too and had an amazing time, but that was more about the people I was with and the music than dancefloor conditions.

I was there the week before that and it was unbearable. I spent Jamie Jones' set dancing outside next to the fire doors to the terrace (they finally opened them at some point). Not as loud but at least I could breath!

I was also there the week before the closing and although the music was as good as ever, we left after a few hours due to fact we could not move/dance/breath!!

we seemed to have spent most of our time either squashed up against other people or moving out the way so other people could get past (too many wandering people)

Queue for toilets was stupid and even getting served at the bar took way longer than usual!

I dno if i just got really lucky but apart from the toilet q (complete and utter joke) everywhere i seemed to be wasn't too bad. Got in around 5 - ten minutes que. in the terrace / main room till 8ish then found a nice spot behind the last bar on the right hand side outside. Stayed here till just before the end of jones/troxler and then back to the main room for ben klock then ellen allien who who were both outstanding (it did look a lot bussier in the terrace at this point though)

Amnesia in the morning when the main room closed though was really bad. tried to get a quick drink in there as they were just closing it. massive crush buy the door then followed!

i was there 2 mondays before the closing and couldnt believe how busy it was.... over the last couple of years u can tell circo loco has just got too big for DC10 ... used to be able to even get a bench outside to chill never mind scramble for a space on the gravelled floor... i felt like everywhere inside the place was a walkway... people just walking in front of you where ever you stood :x

dont mean to be snooty but u can also tell the clientel has changed as well ... everyone and anyone are there now .... the word has spread im affraid ... bring back the days when it mostly the italians even though they might be the biggest elbowers :D

i still had a great time when i was there as for me there is no comparassing on the island when it comes to music than this place 8)

opening and closing parties not for me though by the sounds of it

You got your answer right there!
Whats the point of arriving that late when u were aware of the fact it sold out on the island and internet!
I arrived (without a ticket) at 5:30pm and the entrance was still rather empty plus it took a few hours for the club to get filled.
Next time be wiser regarding time schedule otherwise u see the consequences.
Hpe u had a good time at the other parties cause i sure did!
See u next year 8)
