Circoloco closing

Gonna keep it brief for now but I had a really good night . I rocked up at 8 and got in straight away after getting my band . The line was pretty bloody bad.

I thought Jamie was a little sluggish but did pick up towards the end of his set not sure troxler did much other then talk to people and bum smokes.

Inside I really loved Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock played a cracker, Dubfire hammered it and everyone else I saw brought it .

I thought i actually had more room in the main room and terrace then I did two Mondays ago tbh. In comparison to other closing party's like cream or coxys I didn't think it was any worse in terms of being rammed.

The lasted time I posted on this forum was regarding the same night last year...

The sit down for 'M.in - Sing and Blow at the same time' was spot on, so many smiling faces.

Any signature sit downs at DC-10 closing this year ... apart from round the edges of the garden ?

not on the terrace as far as i can remember.

still trying to get my sh*t together, got back yesterday. lots of work coming on regarding the reviews ;-)

Had an amazing time at DC10 closing. We arrived 15:30 and had 4 fantastic hours dancing in the sunshine! We shifted between the garden and terrace and the music was great with a really good vibe. After that it got more crowded but there was still room to dance. At 22:00 it got really busy (yes it was def oversold) but I found a great spot in the back corner to watch Kerri Chandler who was great.

After KC it was the highlight of the evening, Ben Klock! Just wow, I think his sound fits perfect in the inside room. For some reason it seamed that everybody else wanted to be with the other sardines in the garden or on the terrace cause in the inside room there was still room to dance. And the music was awsome, more Mr Klock on Ibiza.

Left around 00:20 totally exhausted but happy!

Reading these posts about the closing weekend has definitely made me want to do it next year. Ive been to the space/dc10 opening before and Space opened at 12pm and finsihed at 7am, then DC10 opened at 12pm and finsihed at 6am I think...

Can someone tell me the opening and closings for the following?

Amnesia Closing Saturday - start/finish
Space Closing Sunday - start/finish
DC10 Closing Monday - start/finish

For Amnesia closing it finished at 5:30 pm on Sunday... the best bit is Sunday day time. This year I went at 6 am on Sunday and left at 5:30 pm Sunday. Official oepning time is midnight.

I didn't go to Space, but when I was out on Monday morning walking around PDB around 11 am, I could still hear the music and see people stumbling out of Space. Opening time is noon.

Dc10, I think I went around 5 pm on Monday afternoon, left at 7 am(right until the end) Tuesday morning.Opening time is noon.

Space closing kicked off on Sunday at about 4.30pm, overlapping with Amnesia (El Cierre) closing and went on through right until noon on Monday. So you could have gone straight to Space from Amnesia if you wanted to.

I got to Space about 4.30am Monday and stayed until the final choon ... very soppy to say but it was quite emotional at the end and came the closest to crying with happiness I have in a good long while :p (still didn't quite manage it tho' :() ..

DC-10 kicked off at noon on Monday so you could have gone straight from Space over there, or to Ushuaia where Luciano had kicked off an after-party around 10.30am to take you through until a later DC-10 arrival for a change of pace. I chose a swim and snooze @ Nassau nearby instead, where there were great chillout choons underway, in an attempt to sober up enough to drive again !!!

Only time you can really party for days and nights without stopping if you want to  .. but I like to break things up a bit !

 - not surprised ! I am still not really mentally back on planet earth so heaven knows what you must feel like after all those parties :D ! Looking forward to the 2011 Nostrum review 8)

Like everything it is a matter of personal taste and perception.

That's the key here. Everyone seems to have different views of the night.

I know I can be oblivious to people pushing around me in a club while some of my mates get really annoyed.

Also being in one spot or another 10 meters away might be the difference between being surrounded by twats or being surrounded by the best people on earth.

Can't wait till next year :D

I agree with all that.

On the space thing, my own benchmark is if I can't put both arms out to the sides and swing round 360 degrees without hitting anyone it's uncomfortably full. Add in 4 other people to that space and it's intolerable unless my eyes are closed. Just hate it - always have :!:

 Perhaps finding that 'spot' surrounded by the best people on earth rather than the 'other spot' was the quest of the endless snaking herds of saucer-eyed zombies milling around too ... but somehow the 'other spot' just seemed to keep moving ;) .. Or maybe I just wasn't f***ed off my face enough to turn a blind eye to the shortcomings that night - note to self - must get way more f***ed up next time

i haven't been to a club all summer that met those criteria. well maybe early or very late parts of circoloco.

Fortunately I have - Space on 3 occasions including closing party and DC-10 as above, Underground, Aura and Blue Marlin in Ibiza ... also abroad - Ministry of Sound, Fabric twice, Spartacus ... and other smaller venues.

Anybody notice a rather large ammount of awesome djs who just came to party . I noticed Steve Lawler , Danny Daze and Ritchie Hawtin.
