Choose one: Cafe del Mar or Mambo?

Cafe Del Mar holds some fond memories for me so i would choose that place all day long. I was at Mambo the year it opened ( i think 99 but i maybe wrong on that ) and was a cool place and nice addition for a sunset. I took the Mrs down there 4 or 5 years ago just so she could see Cafe Del Mar where i bored her to tears with a few old "this is what it was like" stories, shame really as the place was empty.

We left shortly after.. felt like the place was full of throbbers to be honest.

Anyone know what the drink prices at Golden Buddha and Kumharas are like? Heard CDM and Mambo are very pricey are they just as expensive?

As much as it does my tits in these days i have to see i really enjoyed my visit in April. No crowds, no stupid boats killing the vibes, just rocked up and got a table without booking. 15 euros a cocktail was a bit steep but i wasn't surprised with that. Gets a bit chilly at night in April mind.

Its one of these places, the sunset strip, you usually get drawn back to as you may have friends with you in the group who haven't been as many times (or aren't miserable cynical moaning gits like me pissing all over everyones happiness) to whom its still a must-do.

In September we found a nice wee kiosk a bit further round that did cocktails affy cheap. Only had a couple of tables iirc.

I still try and pay homage to cdm once a year for a drink, and savannah holds some good memories too.

We are in Ibiza for 5 days this year in between formentera so should do the same really. Last time i was there people where more interested in buying a CD or T-shirt from the shop next door rather than going in the place itself.

Did Mambo for the first time last year. The whole sunset thing. Minium spend etc for seafront table. Enjoyed the evening though due to being in good company(old friends).

Me and wife have a table booked for Cafe Del Mar this year. I'm not expecting it to differ too much. Would this be accurate?
