Coincidentally been trying to secure dates and a venue this week. Will keep you up to date on progress and hopefully things working out.
 
i know on some level, seaweed is an ongoing problem there and many of the more expensive resorts have workers out daily doing their best to get rid of it... though in those pics that's worse that i've seen before myself.

If you really are into scuba diving, i'd recommend going down to Belize.... not that far actually once you are in Playa/Tulum (2.5 hours by car or so).
 
Very jealous of everyone hitting BPM this upcoming year, agree with a lot of the comments the vibe was great everything was close and easily accessible and some of the best parties I've been to over the last few years were during my 5 days there. Last year went Wed-closing, was hoping to do the same this year but flights are just outrageous and room prices seem a bit higher as well (went solo last year). I would say party wise the last 2 days (sat/sun) of closing were actually not nearly as good as wed-fri so if time off is no issue than i think you are best served mon-fri and exploring other places during the weekends. As @Cool1g said there was definitely some noticeable overcrowding on that sat/sun. Im thinking of maybe trying opening weekend this year if i can just find the right price...
 
You just read my mind! Just been chasing someone up who I am struggling to get a response from. As soon as I confirm anything I will share on here. Fingers crossed, but feeling frustrated at the moment.

3 day weekend pass $349 (£227)

10 day pass $929 (£605)

So I know its still early, but I've done some playing around with numbers and after giving it some thought going to try out the opening weekend plus a few days this year versus the closing as I did last year. Will be going from Friday January 8 - Wednesday January 13. Thinking i will most likely just pick out individual parties as i think $350 is a little high for opening wristband. Definitely up to arrange some meetups with anyone out there during that time span!
 
Picking out individual parties is the best option IMO. If you do them proper, no way can you do enough parties to justify the pass price. Also Day Zero hasn't been announced yet!
 
Phase 1 is out there.. pretty massive, only really missing Innervisions, Carl Cox, and Solomun and theres always a possibility for Phase 2, although i have the feeling Innervisions crew is going to skip this year.
