Balearic, Chill Out & Sunset Music

Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy's Balearic Breakfast 21.1.25

this week's show features an interview with and an exclusive mix from Phil Mison. He got his start over 30 years ago filling in for Jose Padilla at the Cafe del Mar. And his Cantoma albums are the perfect Balearic accompaniment. We also have a guest mix from our Balearic Breakfast family member Christine DeSouza. Enjoy and thanks for listening!

Yeah I’ve been listening to a few of the Music for Swimming Pools shows on there but need to spend a bit more time seeing what else is there to check out.

Congratulations on a landmark day. 50 years of wisdom banked - I’ve no doubt you’ll happily lose it all temporarily whilst in the midst of a wobbly few hours / days somewhere this season. Bliss. Enjoy!

*managed 2 nights out in the whole of 2024: Johnston/Ivkovic in Barcelona and Harvey in Ibiza (both outstanding) with a further French trip sadly cancelled due to illness. This year, freelance life will make it a lot harder to plan ahead but hopef at least one biggie in the summer. In fact, someone from the balearosphere approached me to help liaise with the Spanish authorities to get a permit to put on a chillout daytime thing on the beach at Masnou (just north of BCN) to help mark the town's bicentenary later in the year so that's something else to look forward to
