Balearic, Chill Out & Sunset Music

A few Mayday faves...

brand new reworks of Lionel Richie and George Kranz. very summery. I'm sure the H and acolytes will rinse these across the festie season

All aboard the Pleasure Voyage. Full steam ahead

Not massively feeling the new Sault tbh (heresy! unleash the hounds) - do like H.T.T.R though

really nice new EP from 'Roi Turbo' a mysterious South African duo in London

Dan Tyler from the Idjuts (the most underrated people in music) remixes Mison's side project. Nuff said

...and something altogether darker c/o Count Vakula

I was wondering whether this was the foreign language version of “All Night Long” that he played at Mercury Rising closing.

A while back now so hazy memories but I don’t think it’s the one.

This months effort…didn’t plan it loads this month was quite organic, one take etc so was chuffed with how it came out

Suzanne Ciani & Jonathan Fituossi - Coral Reef
Ettika - Ettika (French remix)
Balaphonic - Oxum (feat. Ocean Waves Brasil)
A Man Called Adam - Estelle (Cafe Del Mar Mix)
Eddie Chacon - Empire
Chris Coco & DJ Rocca - The First Track
Dazion - Eu Nao Sei
Medlar - Atlantean
Rebles - Sweetest Taboo (Club Mix)
Sould of Mischief - 93 til Infinity
Arthur Russell - In the Light of a Miracle (Danny Krivit Mix)

some belters there pal

Only really took note of this recently. Usually when I think of David Lynch, I think Angelo Badalamenti, but this is a great ambient piece from Toto & Brian Eno.

a few picks this week

Jimi Hendrix on the dancefloor. Who knew? Approached it a little nervously because the internet is awash with bedroom chancers sticking a 4/4 under anything that moves but this really works.

Something mellow from Montreal's Men I Trust. You know it's a beaut from the opening bar (free d/l too)

Latest from the Santini Surfers, off the seemingly endless Copenhagen production line

Nice edit of cult balearic classic Eden 'Free'

More goodness c/o Warriors of the Dystotheque 'Everything's fine with Delta 9' (on @Clara's roster I think?)

Buena Vista Social Club update out on a Barcelona label. About as summery as it gets

A French language track out of Italy, the very 80s-sounding 'Toujours Distante'

And from Iceland, the mighty Tonarunur -"Kitchen Quarantine" Glo Phase Rework, on Cala Tarida Musica

Another Canadian making waves Jesse Futerman. Gorgeous keys

And finishing with some weird and wild disco c/o Lipps Inc which is about as far from Funky Town as it gets (but equally enjoyable).

The new La Torre compilation is super nice. A few words here:
