Anyone know what's going on at L'pool Street Station?

Glad to see that everyone seems to be ok. Was a very scary morning by all accounts. The southbound northern line trains were running extremely slow this morning, we were told there had been a power cut at several stations. The train I was on was sat in Mornington Crescent for about 20mins, no word of what was going on. Finally they opened the doors and told us that the train would not be moving, but we could get out of the station using the stairs. I decided to get out of the tube and walk to work (Charing X).
As I walked down past Euston and Kings Cross, it was clear that something wasn't right. Kings X was totally cordoned off, police and fire engines everywhere. I presumed a train had caught fire/crashed... something like that.
I was trying to call my work to tell them I'd be late, but my mobile was not working at all, as I was dialling the number again, a huge explosion went off about 50 yards in front of me on a bus. I saw debris flying up in the air, and it was like a huge orange flash. Everyone around me screamed and we all started running back in the opposite direction. I ran up to Regents Park as I thought that would be the safest place.
I was trying to call Jon to see if he was ok but couldnt get through for ages. I was so scared as to what was going to happen, I didnt know whether I should try and walk back into London, or try and get a cab home. Eventually I decided to walk to Jon's work to make sure he was ok, which is where I am now. I can't face going into work today, I just want to go home but obviously there's no way of getting there.

To think I was going to get a bus from Euston down to my work, but I didn't get on because they were too packed. Just makes you think doesn't it :(

My poor little Boo

I just told Tom and he sends you a big hug, just stay with Jon for the rest of the day, if you need us for anything you know where we are xx

Oh dear....

LONDON (Reuters) - CNN television said at least 10 people had been confirmed killed in an explosion at King's Cross station on Thursday.

It said one of its producers at the scene had been told of "double-digit fatalities". Official statements have so far reported at least two dead and 185 injured in a wave of apparently coordinated bomb attacks across the British capital.

What an awful thing to be involved in, Becki. Glad you (and the other London Spotlighters) are ok.

I just hope that this isn't the start of something big. :(

So glad you're ok Bec. Like I said to Jon earlier if you cant get home later you're welcome to come to mine x

Thanks guys, Im fine really, a bit shaken up but much better now. Just feel so sorry for the poor people who were unfortunately enough to be struck in the blasts

On the upside, this is probably the most Spotlight regulars I've seen online at one time. What a family, eh? :D

Oh my lord - go and have a brandy. :?
Sorry to hear about that...hope you're not too shaken (silly question).

I actually overslept this morning...and missed my 8.30 meeting. This is really unusual for me and I reached London Bridge tube at 9.00 this morning to find chaos.
I wonder where I would've been if I'd left at the normal time of 8.00?!?!? It doesn't bear thinking about. :? :? :?

Just heard that f*cking tw*t Bush on the radio talking about how 'the war on terror will go on'.

Yeah good one.

It's a contradiction in terms ya knob.
