Mate i dont think the issue here was ever about people having to take drugs simply to enjoy the music, i can listen to good music at anytime and enjoy it. Drugs kind of enhance the experience for people.

Why can't people just accept that people do illegal drugs because THEY LIKE IT!

It's not because their g/b friend has left them
It's not because they can't deal with life
It's not because they've lost their jobs
It's not because they don't see their families
etc etc etc
It's because they bloody well LIKE IT. (Obviously i know that the abuse of drugs does cause misery but that is the ABUSE and MISUSE of drugs due to lack of EDUCATION).
Why are people instantly assumed to be on ther verge of a breakdown or mental lapse because they choose to take something?
But, then again the fact that i'm saying all this must obviously mean that the mental derangement has already begun, OMG i'm delusional...
Why are so many people accepting the crap the hegemony (the folks in charge) feed them?
Yes. People do die from drug MISUSE but they also die from crossing the road, climbing stairs, eating peanuts, taking penicillin, driving cars, terrible diseases...
Just because it is illegal does NOT make it wrong (i could quote a squillion examples of things that have been illegal for centuries but are only now accepted as ok). It's just some people have the power to say it's wrong and use all the media, government etc to make sure you agree too.
Remember when a man cannot choose he ceases to be a man, don't deny yourself or others the choice.
I tell you what is going to send me to an institution and that's this damn discussion!

fair enough mate.......I totally agree about choosing,where did I say anything about denying choice. I just put forward the flip side of the situation based on experience.
But if its not wrong then wot makes it so right?????.The fact you enjoy it.

I here ya bro.....the discussion could go on forever...I was just trying to share an experience with y'all and just hate seeing people suffer.

The whole argument on drugs comes down to use or abuse.
I havn't taken a pill in about 5 yrs now but when i did i was always careful and only took one or 2 in a night maybe once evry 2 weeks or so.
The people i know that have had serious problems through drugs are those that have taken them every day.
Certain drugs are highly addictive and a very dangerous such as crack and heroin.
I know this because i have educated myself about it, therefore i would not introduce myself to these drugs.
All drugs can be addictive without the physical need for them.
There is usually and underlining problem within someone that makes them abuse drugs in such a way as to harm themselves.
Turing to drugs because of other problems in your life is always a bad idea.
There is very little harm in using drugs to enhance things as long as you understand what you are taking e.t.c b4 hand.

well Id call it being insane if you - like a former friend of mine - took E for a while and then ended up in a nutcase hospital, believing that your own shadow wants to hurt her - if THATS not insanity, then I dont know what really is!

You dont know the E caused the insanity. It might have contributed. There will have been lots of factors, its easy to blame E though. Its easy to blame drugs for a lot of problems rather than look for or except the real cause(s).

she was completely sane before she took the drugs, she did a LOT of E within a short time period, and she did´nt suffer from any mental illnesses herself nor did her family have any history of mental unstability - take a perfectly happy and healthy girl, normal - very good job and she did really well....took some pills and boom! chemicals CAN in some severe and maybe a bit rare cases do that to you! sorry if your being ignorant to this........

it's true that e's mess with your head a lot more then alcohol. When I have a hangover I just feel rough physically. On a comedown I feel down & moody 2 days after.
Moderation is a the key for me, to avoid hangovers & comedowns. I've grown up a lot now & don't like to over do it anymore.
I need my sleep as well!! I can't stay up generally past 6.00am these days!
