02 Arena - Michael Jackson

I concur. Listened to Thriller last night in the car. The Girl is mine spoken "argument" in too McCartney going "I dont believe it" almost makes me forgive him for the Frog song...

I love the frog song! 8O

It's my favourite! :lol::lol:

PS - how on earth are you btw...not seen you or the wife in donkeys.

Do you know why?

Apparently the story goes that when they where working together our Paul said the real money is to be made in buying up the rights to songs. So Jacko goes and out bids Paul on the Beatles back catalogue! priceless ;)

They were good mates up until that point. I think the Beatles catalogue is the only thing that has kept Wacko from going completely broke. He also aparently caught him in Stellas wendy house playing doctors and nurses 8O

the frog song is a beautiful memory from primary school days. He can be an extremely annoying twerp and he has written a lot of crap post-wings but McCartney soundtracked my childhood and shaped the way I think about music. Number 1 musical hero for ever. Nobody else will ever come close.

I'll agree he wrote some great tunes its just a shame he comes across as a bit if a tool.

he is a pretty sound guy. but agree his public image isn't the best.

every year he does a Q&A at LIPA, his performing arts uni in liverpool. i've been a couple of times and he always answers all the questions, very honestly too.

like when people ask him about his relationship with john, he is just still really upset that he's not around.

also totally interesting to hear the way he described how him and john wrote the songs in the early years. kind of like, have a cup of tea at 10am, play a few notes, write a few words and by 3pm you've got half the revolver album. 8):D

that's very true.

the hunter davies biography of the beatles is a really good read - goes to town on why they unravelled. Yoko is the real villain imo. A trully despicable, manipulative force.

Phil Easton (RIP) interviewed him on many occassions over the years, he said he was really down to earth, a really nice bloke. Each time he'd ask after Phils wife and kids, even remebered their names (cant be smoking too much of the green stuff then).

I concur!

Naomi is apparently hanging out in Moscow with her Russian boyfriend now... holding a charity fashion show here on Monday!

She is a PROPER psycho !!! And now nowhere near as good looking as she was in that vid. I was sat next to her about 8-9 years ago at Juan y Andrea in Formentera, she was with Flavio, she was all over him like flys aroind shi7. She does love her rich boyfriends.

Heres a video of DT dancing at space to 'in the closet' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gbl9MfLr9I

ain't got nothing to do with being underground.

like I said, it's 2009 not 1987

you're all living in the past. It will be utter crap.

PMSL

Mc Cartney is your "No1 Musical hero forever".

Who's living in the past?

You can't have it both ways.....

You're misrepresenting what I wrote

there is a significant difference between celebrating timeless music and seeing ageing popstars/hasbeens. I would never dream of seeing Macca, Jagger and co in concert now. What's the point of that? but the recorded music lives forever.

So the music is still great, but if it's live you can't enjoy it?

Stop worrying about looking cool so much my friend. If you like the old fella, don't be ashamed, go and get tickets! Your friends may laugh, but hey...what do they know? They'll all probably be at the jacko concert:lol:
