Personally my life hasnt been all that great and i've had to deal with alot of horrible things and my family seem to be in a constant struggle so i wouldnt want to bring a child into the world and them having to experience anything like i have. Thats not the reason i dont want children though, i just dont want them end of. ;)

You just think that sex with women to procreate (or otherwise) is sick and against nature. ;) Bigot!

Yuk!! ;)

I'd let you artificially inseminate me Karlos but I don't want to carry a baby round for 9 months 8O Rach might oblige if you decide you do want kids cos we know how helpful she is

there was only 2 things that put me off having kids - the noise and the smell.

and 7 years of teaching the brats has only confirmed this even more. i hate them.

You were a noisy, smelly brat once Stephen ;)

I do want kids, although not for a long time yet. I think 30 would be a good age to have them, I don't want to be too old when I have kids. I dont think I'm rich enough, or responsible enough to have kids just yet! Although some of my friends have had babies and are loving the "stay at home" lifestyle"... but it's not for me, not just yet anyway ;)

I personally think (at the moment & I reserve the right to change my mind) ;) that the world isnt going to be a particularily easy or nice place to live in 50 - 100 years and that has to be taken into account when making such important decisions

I couldn't agree more..... and exactly those thoughts went through my mind when Mrs Jam & I were making plans.....

Sorry Stu, but i'm with Buckley on this one.

The world is a far better place than when my parents had us, with lots more opportunities out there. Yes, there are lots of bad things happening in the world but no way would i ever use this as an excuse to deprive a future life.

I don't know how my parents managed to bring the 3 of us into the world way back then, with little money and poor conditions. I have the utmost respect for my parents and hope i can help them as much as possible in their old age.

I feel we have a lot to offer a child. One of the reasons we've both worked so hard is so that we can provide a good home in which to start a family (if it ever happens that is ;) )

I am not being all doom and gloom I just suggest considering all things, like Silvia said. For example, when I hear that in 100 years there will bve no oil left, the sea level will have risen by x metres and the ecosystem of the world will be funked I think thats terrible  but then I think thak god I wont be around in 100 years time, but if I had kids....... :?

Well I will be completely honest with you all. I dont want:-

Stretch marks
t*ts like spaniels ears
piles
ripped bits...

... i'll stick to my puppies thank you very much......

Oh and after watching programmes this week on Global Dimming and Global warming that's another couple of reasons......

Thank you.

God if this Boards anything to go by, the population of the U.K is set to decrease very sharply

Definitely dont want any just now, but I can imagine that bringing a baby into this world is one of the best things you can do.

I'll set my age at 32

The world will adapt, as it has done for millions of years.

Remember the days when everyone relied on coal?

puppylover .. I've had 2 children and I dont have one stretch mark .. didnt get piles .. my tits arent big enough to droop ... and when I tore I asked for a couple of extra stitches !

I am now stressed though .. and I found a white hair the other day !!! (Kids do that to you .. specially when they get to teenage!)
