Who wants Kids?

I've always found it strange that none of the girlie members have ever announced a pregnancy.

Can anyone else remember cos i can't!

I want kids.. just not for a few years. I still need time to be crazy but I'm almost ready... stay tuned over the next 3 years to this site & maybe I'll be the first to announce???

We always said we never would right from when we met 15 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed our youth without doing so.

However, we now have 2 nieces - one from my side, one from the g/f's and after spending time with them you do start to think how nice it would be to make something that is part of you both.

I would never go as far as saying that we are trying, but if it did happen we'd get on with it and i'm sure we'd never look back.

Like i said, we've been together a long time, enjoyed our lives to the absolute max, have the place of our dreams, financial security so at times it does feel like the next thing to do.

We would receive lots of help & support from our families so would still be able to do the things we enjoy.

I know how easy it is to say you'll never have them when you're young, but trust me, you do start to look at things differently the older you get. I know people just like us that did it all, had a kid and not looked back.

Having said all that, if it doesn't happen, we'll both still be very happy and continue to enjoy life. We're not the types to get all down about something that isn't going to happen.

So there!

I do, prob pop one out in about 2 years or so, dont want to leave it too late as I wanna be a yummy mummy! ;)

Yes, but not for a long while yet!
Have so much i want to do and be very selfish before i have kids..... I want to finish my degree, build my career, cane it some more, see some amazing places, spoil myself rotton, and spend some time just being me.
And then i think ill be ready.

Tell you what ... I'll hire mine out ... you can all see what it's like having a teenager, that'll put you off !

I never was a very maternal persone, even spending lots of time with my two nieces and my nephew (actually they killed my maternal instinct  ) but at a certain age I started to think about it as a possibility and when you have the perfect partner and a secure life (economic and emotional) it's and idea that grows everyday ;)

Definitely not, I haven't got a maternal bone in my body, me and Tom are going to have pups instead of babies.

Heard that Johnathon King was after a few a while back and then they chucked him in prison....

Let this be a lesson to all of you....

When me and Andrea got married last year we gave ourselves at least few years before we would begin to consider starting a family. Just so we could have a few years of wedded bliss ;) before any little kiddies came along. But kids before I'm 37/38 if possible - that's 7/8 years time! would be fine.

I'm not maternal at the moment - and loads of our friends popped one out last years - and insteda of making Andrea clucky - it's really put her off. But if she fell tommorrow, we'd have it and be happy. If for some reason we can't - I'd adopt.

In the meantime, I appreciate the freedom we have compared to our new parent friends have.
