Gambrinus every time for me, last pint of the holiday with a sandwich crisps combo

Savouring every last second of your holiday ?

I find it pretty demoralising when sometimes you see the people disembarking the plane you are about to board for your journey home.

They are looking all fresh and happy with a full holiday ahead of them, literally two-stepping towards the terminal.

As we drag our heels through the gate like we are condemned or something ?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Burger King being a more well known place for a lot of people that visit Ibiza, and it not being open as a reflection of the current situation facing the other less well known smaller businesses this summer.

To be fair though it was a pretty rubbish Burger King, everytime I've been through they’ve ran out of whatever it is I’ve wanted ?
U asked 4 Hierbas

this coincides 100% with what I heard the other day

the good and the upmarket restaurants (good and upmarket isn't always the same) are often running out of lobster. why? well, the rich are still here on the island, in their villas and five star hotels. but since they can't splash out their money in clubs and vip tables, they spend it in restaurants instead. lobster, expensive wine and champagne are the flavour of the day.

on the other hand you see lots of hotels closed, parts of the island very quiet. so while a few places might have their best summer in decades (restaurants, boat charter companies, activity providers), for a lot of other businesses it's the worst summer in their lifetime.

This is why I will not eat lobster

Genuinely curious to see the state of the island by time we fly out in September.

Me too mate, that's why I'm permanently logged into this forum! I've just bought my first masks online so I am half-way there...mentally prepared. Unless there is a major spike in cases on Ibiza, we will be there. Decision made

Yeah, I've spent more time on this forum the last few months than in the last couple of years that's for sure

yes, has been a bit surreal on here discussing health instead of terrible DJs and has certainly been interesting observing other forum members with their more serious hats on. I'm feeling more optimistic now about a Sept trip but will probably leave till last minute (given that Vueling are so tight on refunds)

Yeah, tbh for me moving to a villa has put a smile on my face. I've settled on the fact now that it's not going to be a clubbing holiday, but an actual holiday with bars, restaurants, and even more exploration than the last few years.
Few bits I've always wanted to do (Watch sunset from Es Vedra for example, go to Formentera, etc), this year seems like the perfect time.
