What's the weather like at the moment?

The people who run Valencia should be in jail. Absolutely shambolic mismanagement of this disaster. Turning away specialist disaster recovery teams, not informing families, blaming Sánchez... If Baleares ever goes through something similar, I hope the Govern shows some competence. People still vote PP even though they don't give a shit about real people. (See also Prestige disaster in Galicia)

Agree. The PP are in a coalition with the far-right Vox in Valencia, aren't they? Horrible people who, as you say, also don't give a shit about real people.

earlier the local government here sent out an emergency klaxon weather warning to everyone's phone. torrential thunderstorm right now. trains cancelled too it seems. Have tix to see Curses live at Sala Upload later, but not so sure about that now :(

be safe @The Sun God

Maybe some of the locals will cool down a little bit , and stop the bad mood against tourism.

completely off-topic (we are in the weather thread), but the situation won't get any better just because the island is quiet now. there are seasonal workers living in tents which is a totally untenable situation and that's what's creating the bad mood. no one is against tourism per se, everyone here is totally aware that we all live from tourism here, some very directly and some indirectly. we've discussed this elsewhere in the forums already but airbnb (and all illegal apartment rentals) have properly fcuked up the housing market on the balearic islands and that is currently the biggest issue here. maybe you didn't mean it badly, but I find your comment is out of place.

Was it rammed at Chinois ?

Last date of the year , I think ?

It was pretty busy but room to move and dance. Felt like fewer / shorter queues for the smoking area and bars than for Gerd Janson at Trip back in April when Chinois was the only club open on the island (Pikes was also open on Saturday for their Closing).

Chinois really need to sort out the toilets as only having one set of toilets resulted in long queues and bottlenecks on Saturday. It's a lovely club though and the soundsystem & visuals are fantastic.

Hace calor en Sant Antoni Hoy.

Hard to believe it's mid October. Pool has very much been needed
