What does everyone drive on here???

Peugeot 308.. very very boring I know but its unbelievable on fuel and seems the wife and I walk / bike to work we went down to one motor and I wouldn't trust her with anything bigger!

she once crashed into a parked car at a multi story car park, it was literally first thing Sunday morning and it was the only vehicle on the entire level ?

Cool E bikes are not a thing for old people anymore ... will buy a E mountain bike in spring
Looking at one 2nd hand at the moment. €500 , you wouldn't even know it's an e bike e every thing hidden and still very light.. have to call to the guy today after work...

Never driven only cycle and Walk.....keeps me out of the gyms.. do about 7k commuting back and forth to work on bike and usually 15,000- 20,000 steps count on my phone every day in work and walking the dog.. could do another 50k at weekend on bike just getting around.somerines more during summer....
I miss cycling to work but I prefer working at home. walking the dogs must give me 1m+ steps each year!!!

Still in the Qashqai which has served us well for towing/tip runs/muggy dog.

Wife went from BMW to Merc, she's looking at replacing with a Jag F-Pace/Q7 and handing me down her car. No rush at minute as both cars are fine.

Out walking a lot more, both locally and a far

Ended up hanging on to the Navara until this year. Dallied with a Discovery but ended up with a Merc E220D.

Anyone else updated their wheels, or are we not travelling these days ?
currently looking to change our cars. need two vehicles. one for wife's work plus an old little van/beater to take dogs out.

considering car sales must be off a cliff there doesn't seem to be many traders willing to offer decent discount so I'm holding off for now.

But I will certainly change mine for an old Honda CR-V, or a Toyota Rav4.
I need a SUV here and to take the ferry for ibiza.

Think the car sales have been high over the last few months?

Sales are well down , but supply is also down. Very little around. Very VW Group deals coming through on factory orders if you can wait. Although interest rates are high I guess to offset nervousness about job losses

I get a very healthy car allowance through work which usually gets me something decent on a lease. Current car is 2019 Audi A7 which is due back next week but there is very little out there deal wise at the moment so I’ll extend for 6 months I hope and see what Brexit brings ?

I badly miss my old A3. So many (mis)adventures. The thrill of coming off the ferry in IBZ (the non-thrill of missing the ferry back...) And being able to listen to music at the volume of your choosing not your neighbour's. I sadly had to sell it in the end (or go through the whole hassle of re-registering and replating a right hand drive and put through ITVs and all the rest) so currently sticking to hire cars as and when. Green cities have declared war on cars so would be a terrible investment unless we were to move to countryside in which case you're screwed without one. The big unknown is the electric market. Does anyone on here drive an electric car? full review please!

this is the way forward.

The prices are extraordinary You can get a used car for it ( 3000 Euro or so ). Have to see what E-Bay is saying . I think there are some ,who sell it after one or two years without much miles.

Car : I30 Diesel. No fun , absolutely no fun. But no problems : Drives in every case.

I’ve been leasing on PCH since 2005

VW Polo GTI 2.0Tsi DSG 5dr
3+35 lease
£227pm
10k pa

Its a quick fun car, would have liked the Golf GTI but the difference in lease price was too much for the same performanceI think I got a good deal, I’m 18 months in and I love it, it’s not good for trips over 2hrs.

Wife has a trusty 2012 two seater Mini Cooper Coupe

(we also run my youngest daughters car, a 2016 Seat Mii)

I can’t wait to go down to one car tbh

Last year I got myself a what might as well have been almost new Honda VT1100 Shadow. Three previous owners, the last owner was an old boy who only wheeled it out of his garage to get it MOT'd and had done only 50 miles a year over the last 4 years. It's 24 years old and only had 5,000 miles on it when I bought it. Sadly I still prefer my VT750 which is considerably lighter and much more fun on the country lanes where I live.

My ideal Dad car is a Golf R estate. But this is what happens where I live if you get a Golf R ( Or S3, RS3, 140i). This footage shows a typical theft, only 10-15 mins drive away from chez nous. Stick with it, the annoying noise is the seatbelt warning tone, they never wear seatbelts. The car in front will also be nicked and cloned.
