I now skipper Albanian FC* 3rd XI, in Division 4 North of the Amateur Football Combination. Arguably, Mr Cummings is playing well below his level, particularly in our opponents 4th XI, when their 1st XI have lost 10 of 11 3 divisions above us this season!

*My school old boys football club, which I run. Patron Saint of the school: St Alban. Causes some confusion when we turn up, and aren't of Balkan extraction!
 
Mixed sporting weekend. Kids did well at Arsenal on Friday - Yay! Lost my semi 3-0 on Saturday - Boo! England won in the rugby Saturday, great finish - Yay! Youngest one both his matches at rugby on Sunday and tackled like a demon - Yay! Ireland in rugby - Yay! Spurs continue to bring the lols - Yay!

DogMan at cinema was a riot - bring nippers to it if young enough!
 
Wishing away the last week of work before a little break for kids' half term. Work is manic due to Year End audits, but 4 days left....

Friday - Arsenal and pizza with my boys

Saturday - folks still too ill to visit:cry: so need to entertain kids in the morning, then I have big quarter-final in the biggest cup we play in, in the afternoon.

Sunday - early start to head to Birmingham airport ( was £800 cheaper than Stansted for an extra's hour drive) for a week in Gran Canaria. Never been, gone fairly basic, but weather looks good and the break is needed.

I hope you enjoyed GC. I thought it was a lot of fun 10 years or so back. We saw a drag show in Maspalomas which was pretty entertaining. Check out if Las Palmas are playing at home (2 Scottish journeymen in their ranks this season!)

Meanwhile this end, taking missus out for Valentines and might pop down to see the mighty Pete Herbert who's playing in town
 
Valentines definitely not on the cards (sorry) for us this year; nor has it been for about 20 years. I'm finding it increasing difficult to conform to commercial crap these days and Christmas just gone was particularly difficult mentally for me this year.

Saturday was supposed to be a family meal to thank my daughters for looking after the dog while we were away the other week, but timings and other commitments have put that on hold. A trip to the local (which is not my local but both my daughters, only 1.5 miles away) is now the plan early doors Saturday instead.

A few daytime parties popping up in and around Manchester atm, next one for me is 1st March so laying lowish until then. Getting some half decent names appearing and the popularity of these seems to be increasing. In bed by 11.30pm can't be bad :)

Scenes on its arse in the north east now nothing of note happens bar Geoffs night once every couple months
 
Out for dinner on Friday with friends in Rochdale Town Hall. 18:30 was the only booking we could get due to the unfortunate date. Leaves plenty of time for exploring afterwards. Probably ales and cocktails nearby whilst dodging the sleet.

GC departure is this Sunday ol' mucker. Staying in Maspalomas as it happens :cool:

Sneaked an early Valentines dinner tonight and WFH tomorrow, so holiday mode is on!
 
Weekend started earlier than I planned yesterday afternoon. Met daughter 1 in the local about 3.15 and didn’t leave until 8pm 😫. She’s being doing SQA Exams for 2 weeks and needed a few pints. I was clearly able to oblige being the only one who is off work atm. I had a right mixture of ales, for some reason I can never stick to the same drink.

Whilst in the boozer I got the call I had been waiting for about a start date for my new job. Now, it’s only part time mornings 27 hours per week M to F and minimum wage but I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been tearing my hair out over winter as work dried up (a recession in the UK is definitely starting, but that’s for elsewhere) past three months in the labouring driving job I was doing.
If anyone is interested, my new job is a receptionist at my local GP 😂😂😂. But, it’s 10 mins walk from my house. I’m used to dealing with the public and I’m home by 1.30pm everyday including Fridays for POETS day. Let’s see how long I last 🤣, I start on Tuesday.

100% but I had to make 'urgent amends' today after buying her a rose last year off a guy on the street which I later realised was made from fabrics.. ☠️
 
Been a while since I did one of these but can’t get motivated in work today so looking for other stuff to fill my day 😄

This eve - Run then chill with Mrs

Tomorrow - Bristol in the day for a mooch then back to Cardiff to set my night up and play.
