Weekend Plans

Weekend started Wednesday with a 6hr drive to Plymouth to watch football. Had a great apartment in town, decent result and pubs were full of students and people we knew from our way. Hard driving home

Fri - on a plane to Krakow with Mrs for a friend's 40th. 10 mainly couples. On our own first night. Going to Zakopane spa for the evening, looks a nice outdoors setting with a dj on.

Sat - drinks

Sun - salt mines and mate's birthday meal.

Hopefully fit alot of culture, history and drinking in 😁
How was Zakopane? Is it worth the journey?
I'm going to Krakow next month for my 50th. Been quite a few times before so know which bars/restaurants I'll be going to but was considering giving Zakopane a try.

I found Zakopane disappointing. Drab. But we only went for the day. Didn’t stay in a hotel.

Thanks for this, it's really helpful 🙂
I'd been in two minds about going to Zakopane it as it would take a really big chunk out of a day. I'll stick with going to the bars in Kazimierz instead.

We only arrived in Krakow about 2/3pm, so a two hour journey there for 3hrs in the spa probably wouldn't be worth it for many. However we had a good time, more family-friendly than Sparty in Budapest, absolutely rammed everywhere except the kids-free bit. Id say it is more set up for young families.

I wish we had more time for the longer trip, where you saw more of the area.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll be giving it a miss.
Have a good one today.
