Weekend Plans

Winter hibernation almost over. We’ve all been working lots, the wife is also now putting on workshops for aerial arts (hoop, silks, pole) starting this week. Good old lazy Sunday dinner day today.

Saturday took my son to his football away derby at Preston. Crap game but decent afternoon, then family meal at a new Thai place.

Sunday - 6am flight to Tenerife. Weather is good, apartment is spacious. Friend's 40th tonight, few mates+families are all here. Mother in law is baby sitting tonight, we will have the food and see where night take us 😁

extra Browny points for me then

*Erol Alkan is really good. He used to get battered and do handstands and backflips in between tracks but would probably do himself an injury attempting that now
I have vague memories of brilliant night out with Erol Alkan playing to a few hundred people at Underground in the early to mid 2000s. Except it might not have been him, or there, or then.

probably more than likely exactly possible that this was your best night ever that year.

And now, I'm up early on a family holiday in Gran Canaria because my back's so bad after playing in goal on Saturday, I can't lie down or sleep. How life can 'quickly' change.

(I'm standing at a raised desk type thing, on my laptop, bending now again to stretch my back. If one of you young ravers was passing, it could appear I was doing a DJ*)

*As it were

"doing a DJ" is my phrase of the week

unlucky, dude. I spun my missus around the other week and felt my back go. The perils of being a hero at 50

*might be worth checking to see what legit massage services there are in Maspalomas, although I vaguely remember the ones advertised at the Yumbo Centre were more of the 'dark room, men-only' variety

Not my bag but just seen the lineup, that's a huge moment for Ben Hemsley going B2B with van Buuren?

Yup! He must of impressed last year. Adam Beyer b2b Armin too. I'm a massive Beyer fan, so getting to see him at ASOT... exciting

ASOT London in July has quite a diverse lineup of this 'fast house' style of music at the moment from the likes of Matty Ralph, Hannah Laing, Ben Helmsley.
