Weekend Plans

Quite simply the best festival I’ve ever been to and quite possibley the best week of partying I’ve ever done!!

Nothing can actually put in to words just how good it is until you go and experience it for yourself! The crowd and atmosphere is one of the best I’ve experienced. The security couldn’t give a care in the world about what your doing everyone was opening doing anything and everything. You could leave and come back as many times as you want with no searches. Drinks were cheap as anything roughly worked out to £2 for a desperado, £3 for Heineken and £5 for a spirit and mixer.

The music just did not stop from Thursday night until I’ve hear Wednesday afternoon 2 stages went the entire time! We called it a day Tuesday night at about 11pm. Simple enough this place is incredible and I can’t recommend it enough!!
Did you do day partying or night or a bit of both?
Also is there enough diversity in music genres to not get bored? Minimal everyday for me would wear me down.
Which sets stood out for you?

Done bit of both, never really done less than 12 hours inside at a time. Started Thursday night with a few hours, then back Monday day till Monday evening. Then got back in for RPR about 5am sunday and stayed till early afternoon.

Then back for some sleep and back in for 1am Sunday and stayed through until about 3pm Sunday. After this i was mainly on day action.

If you would potentially get bored of minimal it may not be for you if I'm honest. Stages 1 and 2 only open Friday and Saturday night, although 2 stayed open until Monday afternoon , stages 3 and 4 run the whole time from Thursday night until it finished, which I heard was sometime Wednesday afternoon. You can get some variety with the night action but from Monday morning until the festival finishes it is really only minimal.

If I'm honest i couldn't pick a best set because i simply didn't hear a bad one!! After Monday night there are not arranged sets really so DJs will just play random sets, Petre Inspirescu ended up playing 3 sets including his RPR one.

Thats the beauty of this festival it really feels as if there are no rules or limits so everyone from DJs to ravers can do as they wish and enjoy themselves without many constraints.

Stuck inland for the weekend so dug the wakeboard out of the garage yesterday and had my first ride of the year. Only a 2 1/2 hour round trip drive because local lakes booked up as usual ! But it was great even if I am in agony today. Every year it hurts more restarting after being lazy and cooped up too much in Winter - this age thing is a curse. 16 degree water was a dream for May.

Lazy day in brilliant sunshine sunbathing on the lawn today with fridge full of cool drinks and no hasstle. Anyone annoying had f***ed off and no bang bang bang, mowers or DIY power tools FOR ONCE. So suntan's on the way at last even if I didn't do any exercise like I promised I would.

Off to Sandbanks in the morning for first flyboard session of the year and a bit more r&r after most likely. Better not sleep in - there's only 1 slot a day there and it's at least a 2 1/2 hour drive o_O .... bracing myself for the sea temperature as I don't really have an ideal wetsuit with me up here. Going to be layering up I think !

Summer season has finally begun :D

Might be going on a date. After deciding I was going to give it a rest, a very attractive lady messaged me on Tinder. Looks like we might be meeting this weekend. She's 50 but stunning, judging by her pics anyway. I honestly don't expect her to be impressed but we'll see how it goes.

Oh, this didn't happen btw. She didn't confirm. I wasn't particularly bothered - loads (i.e. too much) to do this weekend anyway. Back off dating again.

Good to see you back (again)

Far too much booze yesterday.

230 TIL midnight- got a tad excited in the sunny weather.
Now I’ve got to stain the decking with a very muzzy head

Just the usual hibernation  ..

There's always a price to pay for a bit of fun - hope you got the decking finished !
