Weekend Plans

It's the The Driver, rebranded. Was always owned by Billy Reilly who owned The Cross nightclub, and still is....

no way, had no idea. Felt a bit strange going out in KX after what 15 years! Obv not the same now but was with pals and I really did feel like a tourist! That venue has potential but I'd guess older crowds in particular aren't going to want to be going up about 5 flights of stairs every time they want a fag

Feels like an early start to the weekend as I'm off to Arsenal vs Zurich tonight.

Usual weekend business after that - take eldest to his Arsenal session, then we've got the youngest's best mate from school over for a sleepover. Guitar lessons Saturday morning, then I've got an away game* that might be a traffic nightmare as there is a rail strike. Hope to get home for the fireworks show were are taking the kids to. Hope the rain predicted in the day is gone by then too.

Sunday - take the kids to my folks, potentially play another footy match* while they are there. Probably watch Arsenal somewhere with kids after - maybe my footy club, which I sometimes open up, just for us, so the kids can tear around in there. Weather looks awful so may book a soft play or somewhere for after that.

*footy matches pending medical advice - I had dental implant surgery on Monday and it feels like it's healing really well - waiting for a go/no go from the dentist.

Anyway, enough of my surburban middle-aged meandering! Who's getting bang on the clarky cats this weekend? Or the triple sod? Yellow bentines maybe? Stay away from the cake though!

I'll be venturing to the big smog again. There's talk of Glitterbox on Saturday night, but nothing really nailed on. I suspect it'll be a bit of a crawl around SW establishments until we either get too tired or too skint, but it beats staying in. Out for roast dinner on the Sunday

Next weekend was supposed to be a weekend off, but despite being nine days away, that's clearly not going to happen either

Bit more SE, but the Bermondsey Beer Mile is LOTS of fun

quiet ish one for me after a big one last Saturday. Gunna go for a couple pints tonight & Sunday but im saving myself for a big one next week - last prem game before the world cup and it’s a 5.30 kick off against Chelsea with a full squad of me mates out😮‍💨😰

not tempted for artwork tomorrow?

he’s down at the world headquarters

Paradise Lost tonight and tomorrow, then a quiet Sunday & Monday before flying back on Tuesday. Still warm so hopefully the beach / rooftop pool. Also enjoying our new room at the Standard which is ideal recovery post Pikes Halloween!

Celebrating that we'll be moving here from December for at least 7 months...

Yeah i keep tabs on the ape x line ups but its gunna be a busy end of nov/dec so im gunna stop off it this week🤣

Going to man power & prosumer in a social club in north shields first week of Dec:eek:…then i think i’ve managed to persuade her to go to sub club the week after for Henrik Schwarz. Im doing my part of the deal by having a christmassy afternoon in Edinburgh before heading to Glasgow on the night time

My wife’s 50th birthday tomorrow. So, originally we were going to the Sky Garden in the City with her Mum who is over from France. But she’s only just been testing negative for COVID and didn’t feel up to it. So, we cancelled that possibly for a takeaway curry .
Saturday we were meant to go to Hawksmoor Guildhall with friends for dinner. Then we found out there was a train strike making it impossible to get there and back. Cancelled that and booked a new restaurant near us in Hertford. Just seen in the news they’ve called of the strike. Sod’s law!
Sunday pub lunch with the family.
Whatever we’ll be having fun.
