St Jordi Day here today. Tradition here is to swap books and roses! Will probably hit my fave bar maumau later too. Then off to Dubrovnik next weekend for first time

How has the twisting been so far Tifflar?
 
Had some engine issues at Gatwick yesterday 🥺 then when we finally boarded there was someone who had been on an aggressive one from the delay that the pilot had to come talk to to see if he was going to resume with him aboard but it took so long to calm the situation dunno why they never just volleyed him off after an already lengthy wait ..our flight was due to land in Cancun just after 5 didn’t land till nearer half 8 then there was some luggage issues were we were all left waiting for an hour for the belt to start, our transfer took a lot longer because the driver had to stop at every petty station along the way to PDC to pump up one of the tyres for a puncher 😫 but eventually we got here and they upgraded us to a swim up suite for free, the resort is stunning, currently cracking open a few cold ones from the mini fridge waiting for the sunrise

All is now forgiven 🙏

I found this (rough) sketch he did down the back of a unit while shifting furniture tonight (in the process of decorating). It's of one of the squares in Ibiza Town. He gave it to me in exchange for a few beers. :lol: Honestly thought I'd lost it for good. Going to make sure I get it framed this time...

Also had to shift my dad's vinyl collection - nothing more recent than mid 80s, mainly jazz and blues, but also the occasional pop album/compilation. :lol: The most 'dance' record in there is probably Herbie Hancock's "Rockit". :twisted: I wasn't sure whether to get rid of it as clutter or keep it, but think I'll set up the hi-fi and speakers in the spare room once it's done. It's just too fascinating thumbing through old vinyl... (Also have a few late 80s/early 90s singles of my own which might be fun to play again.)

Okay, so...

Mrs @CorMc flys in tomorrow, and we've got a lovely little weekend planned

Friday - IMS @ Dalt Vila. The rain will be gone (everyone do the sun dance please) and then either Malanga Café as Harry from WOM is playing and I've never been or Paradise Lost (or both)

Saturday - Hï opening. Not M's scene so going with a friend. Looking forward to Charlotte De Witte!

Sunday - Check into Pikes for 3 nights. Annual staycation pilgrimage. Definitely wasn't there on Friday. Looking forward to a(nother) dance in Freddies. Sublime!
