Weekend Plans

Early weekend/Easter Break vibes, as my youngest's school broke up last Thursday and my eldest finishes at noon tomorrow.

Out for a curry and a chinwag with a couple of old school Spotlighters on Thursday night.

The wife is in the office Friday and then straight out from work so I'm WFH with both boys in the house and then risking taking them both to the eldest's footy session at Arsenal. The youngest caused havoc last time he came, but that was about a year ago so fingers crossed. May take them for a Pizza Express on the way home, before sleepover in the cloud.

No guitar lesson for the eldest on Saturday morning due to school holidays, so I'll be taking them for holiday haircuts* and then to shops for some clothes and bits. Then in the afternoon, I've got the replay of a voided grudge:mad: match against a local team who played a load of ineligible players last time out.

Sunday - take the kids to my folks, possibly play in a Vets match, if I can walk, and then the kids are very excited for a trip to the cinema to see 'The Bad Guys'. It only comes out on Friday and they 've been on about it for months!

All this leading up to next Wednesday when we leave for 2 weeks in Cancun (*see holiday haircuts above) - feels like ages since we've had a holiday!:p

yeah stuff happening at akasha (las dalias), NUI & lolas currently, plus malanga café and paradise lost bar.

bring a warm jacket - if the forecasts are accurate we're getting a very cold front coming in this weekend, hopefully the last bit of bad weather, I have to say it was a pretty poor march and we're ready for some sun & warm temperatures now!
Thanks @stivi
Had a quick look at those suggestions. Does NUI get many in with it being slightly out of town?

A lot of fun last night at Psych Fest at Sala Upload (one of my fave venues right now). The standout was this all female psychedelic band from Stockholm called Maida Vale ! very talented, bringing the trippy vibes. get them along to one of your meetings JV

Had a great time in the Algarve, but was very noticeable how much busier the resort was to previous years, and lots of stags and hen groups around the strip and hotel. Clearly lots opting to go Albufeira if some of group not jabbed and cant get in places in Spain.

On a side note, it seems Manchester airport is quickly becoming a farce. Going out was fine, paid for fast track through security, which was pointless as the non fast track queues were much quicker lol. On way home the flight was 30 mins late getting in to Faro, then once landed in Manchester we had to wait for chocks to lock the wheels in place, which the co pilot eventually went to retrieve in the pissing down rain, and had to get buses to the terminal as parked us so far away. Avoid hold baggage for time being if possible from Manchester, in the baggage area were just hundreds of suitcases piled up, where people gave up waiting and just went home and come back to collect.

I'd never seen alt like it, couldn't work out why there were piles of suitcases until my mum said people had been abandoning them because of the wait!

Yeh its madness, opportunist thieves could have a field day, no staff to be seen hardly. Fair few golf bags that could catch someones wandering eyes
