Weekend Plans

got one morning shift left tomorrow then heading down to Cornwall for a few weeks. never holiday in the UK but our mate sourced us a good spot at a great price for a fortnight, has balcony, beach / sea views big enough for 6 of us and major thing being pet friendly. going with family and we all have dogos (normally look after each others when away) but decided to try something different. its in Padstow but will be spending time in Newquay too on the razz. got a few things booked, hot air balloon, Vineyard, The Minack theatre, Noasis gig and few other bits. hoping to cover alot of ground whilst there as the weather looking hit and miss at the present so don't want to be cooped up (any suggestions welcome??) still hoping to see some good weather whilst there but not main concern as have a few other trips across the year abroad for when we will be 2 week + double jabby
Eden project is worth a visit

I’m heading down a week Sunday for 10 night.
Also got a few bits booked including the theatre.
If you get a nice day, get yourself to Kayance Cove and wait for the sea to go out 👌

let’s hope for that ☀️ brother 👌😎

Only about 50 people in the art studio but good crack. Old style [crap] lighting, dark room, £3 for spirit mixer and decent tunes 👌 left at 1am 😅

We used to stay in a place near Padstow a lot when the girls were young.
If you’re looking for a really nice beach, can I suggest Daymer Bay. We tried most beaches in that area and imho, that’s the best.

Dada's gonna Dad, all weekend. Mrs still under house arrest after single jab return from Amberville, so took the kids football training, then pub lunch, then soft play.

Tomorrow is Jurassic Encounter in our local park, visiting my folks, and the Gruffalo live on stage at Ally Pally.

Edited to add a comma to clarify, my folks are not live on stage with The Gruffalo!

last night first night out dancing since feb 2020, at the liverpool disco festival closing party. started outside on a sun terrace, then party moved to a NIGHTCLUB; remember them? felt amazing to be out dancing, meeting new people and seeing friends we haven't seen in over a year. highlight has to be having a drink and a dance with steve from disco legends Odyssey.

today I feel much less amazing than I did last night, obviously, but well worth the hangover

Some friends attended, haven't caught up with them yet but you/couple of reports from previous years made me jealous. Looks class 😎

London for me, train down 2pm Friday, Back to Love festival Saturday followed by after party. Then plan to not leave the hotel room until midday on Monday to recover.

On another note, ran a half marathon last night as part of my training for the London Marathon- I’m absolutely buggered still this morning. Ow.

Free from self-solation jail from Friday, so will be taking the eldest to his Arsenal footy session, followed by sleepover in the cloud.

On Saturday I'm running a five-a-side tournament, in memory of one our players who died in a tragic accident in March, aged just 21. His Dad, who is a good friend and ex-team mate of mine of many years, is coming to to present the trophy to the winners. Should be a very busy and emotional day and I expect to shattered after, given I'll run the bar at our footy club after too. Hopefully, we'll do the lad and his family proud.

Sunday - take the kids out and about, including a visit to my folks.

Inbetween all that, I've started rewatching The Wire. I'd forgotten how good it is:cool:
