*** We Love... Space 2013 ***

Hmmmm some line ups are better than others. Can't help but feel that most are a bit stale though.

I always use to base my holiday around Sundays at Space. It simply isn't the case anymore, and it won't be this year either I think.

Viva Warriors or Solomun looking more appealing at the moment

agree with that, some very nice line ups and some pretty poor ones

im over for the opening which looks great. also over on 18th august and 29th sept for the closing, really disappointed with both line ups. fatboy slim for the closing party? come on

yep apart from the opening party (which im going to) i think id rather go have a cheaper night at sankeys tbh

I really don't want to be negative about We Love, as they really did pioneer so much, and got me (and many others) hooked on Ibiza. To me We love was THE night and what Ibiza was about.

There are two reasons that We Love is under pressure.
1) Sunday choices. This season with We Love Vs Solomun Vs Cadenza Vs Viva they may feel the strain. One think that disappointed me most was the lack of Inversions showcases this year as opposed to last year. Really thought they worked and were so fresh. As much as I respect both: Groove Armada and James Zabiela almost seem retro! At all of those nights - there could be ex-We Love acts!

2) Space choices. ENTER. and Coxy are arguably better nights, and can you really do all three? Space is now competing with Space! With so many choices, will you do Space more than once if you are there for a week?

Gutted to be missing the opening party. I'm there the weekend after, and I'll go, even if the lineups are a million miles apart in quality.

Still, I've never had a bad night at We Love.

Quite possibly yes - I've done Space twice when I'm there for 3 days !

to be honest
i like the idea of Fatboy Slim or similar on the terrace for We Love...
it always used to be Morillos, Lawlers, 2manyDJs, Groove armada etc there - more of a "party" atmosphere and contrasted the "darker, deeper" discoteca
last time i was at We Love the terrace just didn't have the same feel to as is in previous years

You need the party atmosphere the Terrace.. Basement jaxx on the terrace some years ago when the dropped womack&womack was one of my ibiza moments..8)

Was thinking about hitting up July 14 to see Groove Armada and then head to Viva Warriors if possible. What set times has GA played in the past on the terrace? It's pretty rare to see Groove Armada do a dj set in the US (twice in 12 years of clubbing), and they're pretty much the only act i want to see that night. Viva Warriors looks to be pretty intense! but then again I've seen Lawler loads of times.

i went in 2011 and Groove Armada played the terrace 2.30-4.30 :)

It feels like the last years i've gone have always been with Groove Armada, Paul Woolford and Simian Mobile Disco... not lucky with it.

Agree about Enter taking much of the limelight these days.
