I know nuns do wear full dress but they dont wear it exactly like that picture do they? Thats quite an old-skool nun picture you;ve posted. I saw some nuns at the train station the other day and they dont wear that white thing around their head and chin, they just wear like a white headband with a black headscarf, and they dont wear full robes, just like a black tunic.

British people do not like the full, head to foot, face covering veil. I bet if there was a secret poll, 95% of the population would say they didn't like it.

Why do they not like it? It is not because they are all racist.

They do not like it because they have spent their entire lives communicating with people by looking at their faces, seeing their eyes, watching their mouths move, observing their body language and knowing they can do the same back.

We find it uncomfortable because we are not used to it. It looks as alien as it feels.

I also dislike the degredation, whether they like it or not, but that might not be a common thing.

Exactly. It's nothing to do with the religion. My mum could come down wearing a sheet over her head and I would think exactly the same thing. You cant communicate with someone you cant see.

I think the whole issue is made more complex and popular due to the increasing distrust by a lot of people and media on the muslim religion and people as a whole.
