TV Boxsets

Watched American Horror Story... Don't bother. It's dull and overrated. Some people will tell you it's David Lynch weird. It's not. It's just confused, like they stuck 5 very average horror films in a blender and spewed them out on screen.
 
I'm watching The Wire, which I've never seen before.

If we're talking recommended telly shows, The Returned must be mentioned in this thread. I know it's been a while since it's been on, but it's up there with Breaking Bad and Mad Men.
 
Watched episode 8 and 9 of The Leftovers last night.really good and great soundtrack by max ricther..:cool:

have seen The Wire but going through it again with the mrs , still brilliant for its age , even if season 2 is abit slow
 
I've been trying to watch Lost since it first aired. I'm up to Season 4 and its still giving virtually nothing away. Has anyone made it to the end? Is it worth it? Or will I just get to the end and wonder why I bothered?

Don't get me started on that programme !!! I'll just say this, if you think by sticking with it to the end all will be revealed and all your questions will be answered, then you'll be very very disappointed.

Seriously?! I've done season 2 only (no idea why I started here) I loved it. Nothing else like it in the horror genre.

I'm also 9 episodes off finishing the Sopranos boxset for the first time ever.
 
Yeah very dark.I watched all 10 and it got better and better.A long wait till season 2:(. Music is spot on in it too.

I think i'll give up now then. its like watching softcore porn, it hints at the big reveal then you just get some blokes hairy arse in your face for an hour

Ah right I'm led to believe the second season is a completely different story etc. I've only seen that one. Some great actors in it.

Jessica Lange is good in the first one, if arguably a bit too OTT. In any case, her acting shows up the blandness of the other actors. There's quite a fit bird in it, but it was obvious they could have all the sex they wanted as long as they didn't show any nudity. Go figure!
