Too old for ibiza?

i was dissapointed earlier with your contribution, i was expecting something much funnier, suppose it's the high standards you set for yourself;)

glad to see you're back on form:lol:

cheeky bugger...i edit to avoid offence sometimes...

you shouldn't be worried about what people think mate, if they have a problem with you then it's their problem, ibiza is supposed to liberal and all that jazz..........yada yada yada:lol:  ;)

Have enjoyed reading this thread!

Personally I think the day that people start putting an age on Ibiza is the day it starts to lose its value... I've always known Ibiza to be open minded to everything... whether it be age, nationality, race, or sexuality..

Last year I went with my mate who is 40 and not once did I think about his age! He only started clubbing and dabbling 4/5 years ago and i'm sure he will be partying for years to come.

if it makes you happy.... Keep doin' it

once you reach the age of the Santa dude that lives in Pacha

then you can question if you are too old for Ibiza
and proceed to dismiss it
get a VIP table in Pacha
and dance, arms aloft every single night

He is my hero!

my friends mum and dad got into clubbing 10 years ago when he started. they come out with us all the time and also are a good source of quality "extras".

it has never entered my mind that they are a different generation, just proves its all in the mind.

they are both teachers too!!

Les, if that is the comment that has gotten you so riled, then I apologise.

I only wanted to gague peoples opinions becuase the fact of the matter is, I am now "getting on a bit" and dont plan stopping my night time exploits for anyone.

I do however think you be slightly oversensitive about the subject... are you turning into a grumpy *** man? :p
ROTFPMSL @ this thread.................. light blue touch paper and stand well back. ;)

............and err no, that comment did not get me riled at all, just pointing out a negative. ;) No, I'm not over sensitive and not a grumpy old git, least I don't think I am.

Last week I got a great compliment. Taxi driver I knew stopped and gave me a lift to my gig with some 18 year old lads on their way out for the night. I didn't know them but they obviously knew me. One of them said "Oh its Decades DJ, the old guy that plays the best tunes. We'll be coming to see you later. Rock on!". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Seems like most people on here have totally missed the point, so I'll try again.......

..........it's not what people on here think about other older clubbers, it's the negative attitude that people are expressing about themselves and their insecurity regarding their age and clubbing. It drives me mad

Seems like we are into a new phenome.......fernom.... era  in the 1950s and 60s people were old in their 30s and 40s. The boundaries have been pushed further and further back to the point now that people are still clubbing in their 40s and 50s. All I'm saying is help me push those barriers back further by not being negative, if I can do it then you surely can too. :p

the birth of house in chicago evolved from the city's rich musical heritage - jez check out some of the chess label's 60's roster - it didn't just happen on its own.

Stephen I definitely will do I'm sure my Dad has mentioned during one of many music discussions, it does go on from my point about other genre's influencing the birth of another?

What did you have done Pups? Have you been botoxed?

Nope that's for May....

I had Restalyn injected in my (small number of) facial lines - looks amazing apart from the bruising but I suppose 8 injections in your face will do that.... The bruising will be gone by Mon as I am using Arnica cream...

I am dead impressed (not by the pain) but it only took 10 mins.... 8) 8)

Packing in smoking was just the best thing - pays for the maintenance and upkeep of High Maintenance Me....;) ;)

Steph, you just made my day! :p

I plan on being a fully fledged Acid Grandad.

I'm going to be 35 this August and I've found my stamina increasing, not decreasing, for dancing in recent years. Perhaps that's because I've taken much better care of myself in terms of diet and exercise since my late 20s than I did when I was younger.

A regular gym and vitamins routine more than balances out the fatigue caused by clubbing, and the attendant consumption of dance supplements.

I won't stop until my knees demand it.

i think people who can't take jokes like that shouldn't go to ibiza cos otherwise everyone would be miserable as ****!
Very British point of view.

Not every culture is so based on taking the piss out of people, grego. Your countrymen have made it a national passtime. I'm still getting used to it and I'm someone who does it all the time (albeit in the much more mild, politically-correct American fashion).

You could have a perfectly happy, party-hardy person who's having a great time until you say something nasty to them, whether it's a joke to you or not. I'd much rather party with that person than with a person who thinks making sarcastic statements about someone's age (or weight, or race, or anything else) is just a fun old joke! :spank:

what are you chatting on about now................quickly pointing out something or someone to your mate for a brief second is hardly the same as making nasty sarcastic comments to a stranger, which, according to you, could also be racist too:roll: .

why anyone would want to be mild in anything they do is beyond me, why bother??

your statement is perfect evidence why NYC is the best part of america, bar none, cos they are nothing like the values you espouse.

what other cultures don't like a laugh then, i'll see your neo-con america who appoint actors to govern themselves and raise you europe, africa and south america........

Que?

What the hell are you rambling on about now? Neo-cons?

Perhaps you've never been in a situation where you see people pointing you out and laughing. Even if they don't say it to your face, which is what I thought we were talking about (it's just a "joke", right?), you know they're saying something nasty amongst themselves.

Heaven forbid if people, even happy-go-lucky clubbers, should have feelings! Everyone, including Americans, love a good laugh. Entirely beside the point.
