What's it like in 338? I've not been to that venue for years; in fact I met the missus there when it was Dorringtons. I've been pretty impressed with some of the line ups since it's changed, but have wondered whether the clientele has adapted as well as the line ups
 
I went 338 in the summer good people and venue but it was hotter than the sun. We left after 2 hours because the heat was unbearable. It was in the summer and had been roasting all day though so it might be cooler in the winter.

I love it, promoted by pure house and techno heads so want to keep anyone who's isn't that out - I think it used to be pretty rough but since 338 took over it's a total diff venue - can't wait to get back there !
I last went for krankbrother in August and can't remember it being overly hot

You won't be banned, or thrown out for shuffling per se.

But if you dress like an archetypical shuffler - ket-knot, bumbag, huraches, snapback, psychedelic print tee and/or BOY/Obey apparel OR if it looks like Footlocker has thrown-up over you, then likelihood is they won't let you in.

They employee door pickers, who operate in a radius of the venue. So even if you're being rowdy a distance away, or in a larger group and then split into smaller group, if they spot you they will radio through to the front door and you'll be denied entry.

Ket knots = that knot of hair protruding from the scalp, usually with shaved back and sides. Can also be fashioned into a bun.

Huraches (sp?) some godawful footwear which are the "in thing" but utterly aesthetically displeasing, and, one would assume, highly uncomfortable. But they cost £100+ per pair, so that makes them cool! :cool:
 
Think I had a ket knot back in 89 come to think of it I also had a couple of pairs of huraches too. I remember them being very comfortable . But looking at them now they are proper rascals . That's fashions of the youth for you , can't slag em off too much as I used to were some right old rude boy clobber back in my hayday . Part of growing up then realising what a t w a t you looked like . I'm sure that counts for the majority of is too!
