The Olympics

the 8min 2012 handover is to include David Beckham.... that bird form x factor, a double decker bus... and a reworking of the national anthem to make it sound less "imperialistic" as not to offend anyone from the lands we once occupied.

kinda ironic given that its been blasted out 18 times in the last 2 weeks! more namby pamby over PCness.

gash..

Amazing. Jamaica were unbelievable. The best thing was seeing Bolt genuinely pleased that Powell won a gold. Both came across like very decent blokes.

A great climax to the Olympics will be the men basketball final between USA and Spain. USA will whoop us, but the current USA team is as close as any team will get to the american dream team from 92... Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Carmelo

You boys ready for an ass-whooping!? :D

(**he says... then pauses to wonder if the trash talk will blow up in his face**)

So glad we're back this year. Last Olympics and Worlds were embarrassing.

Shambles of a display.

What is Beckham doing there? All he has ever done representing his country is LOST and FAILED. He's never had anything to do with the Olympics anyway.

no idea.

and "THAT" logo looks much better in red white and blue. I remember the reasoning bhind the pink and yellow being "all inclusive" or some rubbish like that.

Glad someone saw sense (probably Boris)

You nearly got egg in your face.. ;) well close enough at some points. Even though we lost I thought we played extremely well, and the fact with 3 mins to go there was still a game on shows how well we played. Your three point shooting in the end really became the difference. We were 4 down, missed a three pointer and in the next attack Kobe sinked it, killed us off.

Still classic game, talked about as one of the best basketball games ever (between nations)

Ping Pong is coming home        lmao

Not your run of the mill politician.

You can say that again, still don't like the man though.

:lol::lol::lol:

Face it, Chew... he's a friggin' clown!

I'm with John on this one. He doesn't know when to button it, some of his comments in the past have been horrendous, I don't think there is a town in England he hasn't pissed off.

He'll be PM one day. I'm not sure how i feel about that!

That's a very scary thought. Although i doubt it very much. Too much of a bumbling baffoon

Really not sure if he will be PM, simply due to timing. Cameron will have to balls up royally to be percieved as less effective than Boris & then George Osbourne (for instance) will have a few things to say. That said, the boy Johnson is a f ukin genius to have played the game, said the things etc and then end up in charge of London - ok he struck gold (sorry) with labour falling off their perch in such a big way but you don't get to where he is by accident.

Going back to the Games.

I can honestly say I've enjoyed it alot more than i thought. The coverage by the BBC has been fantastic, and ofcourse it helps that we've done so well, but apart from being at Sydney and Athens, I havent enjoyed them so much in the past. Maybe it's my age
