The footy !!

I awoke this morning to a beast of a hangover which was compounded by the knowledge that an easy win was thrown away in the second half by complacent play and a needless capitulation to a rejuvenated arsenal

this defeat left all sorts of doubts in my head about the steel of the team -losing Pique (they call him piquenbauer!) is a big blow too

the side are really going to have to earn la remontada (comeback) - although I still think it should be a home win

Partly agree, not sure we're lacking steel, we just got complacent. I'm annoyed Pep took Villa off so early, sent the wrong message to the team. Also Messi has never missed so many good chances in one match

Thought the match was amazing technically.

Plus I know other set of fans would be complaining about the referee and the good goal disallowed and 2 possible penalties.. but we don't do that.. ;)

TBH honest Barca had the match by the throat. I was worried at half time that Arsenal would lose 3 nil. It was a good match and I don't think the referee made any difference. I could be biased being a Arsenal fan

Ha ha... veiled reference!
Wouldn't have complained about the goal as that was a good decision by the ref.
If it'd been 5 penalty shouts not 2 then you might be right!
I saw Arshavin's handball... what was the other one?

I saw that in the Sun this morning.

Apparently only 2 miles from Chelsea's training ground and academy in Cobham :!:

(and our academy won the FA Youth Cup last season, Olly :p)

The ACS school in cobham is about 10 mins away from where i live. My boy's are playing up at chelsea's training ground next tuesday in their foundation scheme.

Messi was behind the ball when Pedro shot so that was never offside.

In the lead up to that goal there was another hand ball, plus there was a possible penalty on Pedro in the 2nd half

was reading today that the last 4 times barça lost, puyol wasn't present, throw in the draw last week too.

pique is out the return too.

could watch xavi dictate the triangles all day. diffwent gwayvee

I wouldn't read to much into that, they also say we have Liverpool away a few days after the Utd game when we've already played and lost it.

(couldn't even be bothered to check the fixture list, that's how lazy that 'report' is)

lazy journalist hack said:
"Chelsea will play Manchester United in the Premier League a week on Wednesday. Four days after the United game they face Liverpool at Anfield."

Anyone else go to Wembley yesterday? Pa Buckley was not happy! I would have liked Arsenal to win but was still amused by the clanger!

Some sore heads among Brummies today, they were partying hard around NW London last night.
