The footy !!

we clearly concentrated on the league leaving out or missing the entire midfield/strikeforce that normally starts

night was brightened up by Agent Mowbrays sterling efforts in Paisley

Can't use concentrating on the league as an excuse. It's been over for weeks.

As for mowbray... bring back john barnes.

not so much as an excuse - but clearly he rested certain players in the hope that fringe ones would step up - most missed the opportunity

at least barnes could rap

nah, it came down to money. Burnley offered him more money to stay and celtic wanted to pay Strachans succesor less than he made (£1.2m a year) and that obviously wasn't very attractive to coyle.

so burnley offered him more money
celtics offer was not as attractive
but he didn't reject the offer???

yeah but my point is they should have chased him and offered him the money rather than being cheap.

he was keen on the job.

problem now is

1) first half financial report was a big loss, 2nd half is always worse - so big debt

2) 4 players leaving after loans concluded - squad as thin as Rangers'

3) more money due on Fortune and more needed to build squad

4) CL qualification via the Non-Champions path means another Arsenal awaits if they get to the play-off stage

you could see Rangers & Celtic finances align soon

i reckon it'll take at least 3 years to undo what mowbray has(n't) done in less that one.

I've was never happy with all the loan signings. Keane... what a waste of £65k a week. there's no sense at all in trying to build around loan signings. He was just looking for a quick fix to pull him out the hole he was in this season which failed remarkably. so much for a 5 year plan....

they reckon that its £4/5m for the loans inc wages

Confirmed as sacked - meaning a pay off as well!

Its all about next saturdays game.
The fact they got Bayern this week and next must be an advantage to you lot.

Great goal from Torres yesterday, if only Liverpool played like that more often.
