Apparently the USA has struck first in its battle against England on June 12.

Chelsea just announced that Landon Donovan broke Ashley Cole's ankle last night :(

3 months out. That sucks....

Wayne Bridge has to be a starter for England now

wonder if there is any truth in the paper article today that Portsmouth's problems could have far-reaching implications, with a piece in the Daily Mail flagging up the possibility that should Pompey go out of business, any points won against them could be chalked off ??

Yes that is correct. Also any points lost against them will be returned. Good news for Liverpool............. sounds stupid but its technically right:spank:

i assume then that they just go down having all points taken off them or do they start next season with minus points if they go bust?? (that doesn't make much sense i know but you get the drift!)

looking at results then for 09/10 liverpool appear to be only top 6 side that have been beaten by pompy, city utd and arsenal all appear to have played them twice won twice...makes it ever tighter at the top!

It would be a Typical Liverpool performance.............to pox their way out of a bad result.

Remember Istanbul 3-0 down...........i just cant type any further........ makes me sick

Pompey's demise wouldn't be so bad for Chelsea. We'd lose 3 points but Man U would be out 6

That said, I really don't want to see them wound up. Not good for anyone in the long run. :?

Thats what I mean ............ great news for Liverpool. The distant hope they had of qualifying above Man City for the Champions league, may become more of a reality.........

I wouldnt say 'distant' yes they have two games in hand but we're yet to play eachother next week, and with both being as inconsistent as each other, it is anybodys (not spurs or villa). I think our expereience will prevail in the end, we've only lost 1 in the last 7.
