The footy !!

Top 'o the league, top o' the league :p

We had the Arse running around in circles. It was masterclass in defending, led by England's best central defender.

When did Carragher sign for Chequski? :p:p:p

Loving the new Drogba too. Fell down after being kicked around a couple of times, but he got right back up and limped it off instead of rolling about on the floor. And the goals... ah yes, the goals!

Have to agree on this. Don't know if it's the new Manager but it was noticeable how your boys tried to stay on their feet. No basketball style drawing of fouls, it was good to see.

i think purple aki will stay with me my whole life..........seriously.

sometimes when its dark, i have flashbacks to being a kid and thinking i was being followed by him.

even more scary when i found out he was real.

Is this the guy that denied anything involving L.F.C.?

No, a spokes person for 'one' of his companies has denied it. But then if they were interested and it was at an early stage then ofcourse it will be denied !!

At the end of the day we have been linked with Arabs, Indians, and more Americans. And we will be linked again and again until we actually are taken over. As long as the new owners invest correctly, and have LFC's best interest at heart I could care if he/she is from Timbucktoo

never believe a "spokesperson"

ask Johnny

You could ask him, but would you belive him :?

Taken from the Liverpool Echo :-

LIVERPOOL FC have received no offers from two Indian businessmen linked with taking over at Anfield, the ECHO understands.
The club today refused to comment on reports linking them with a potential buyout by the Sahara Group, run by multi-millionaire Subrata Roy, and separate interest from India’s richest businessman, Mukesh Ambani.
Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow confirmed last month the club was embarked on a process to attract new investors or even owners – but said it was likely to take a number of months.
The Echo understands there has been no contact with Anfield from either of the Indian businessmen or their representatives, let alone any concrete offer at this stage.
Sixty-two year-old Roy is chairman of the Sahara Group, a conglomerate which deals in property, media and tourism and has assets totalling more than $12billion.
He founded Sahara Group in 1978 and is coming to the end of a four-year £55m sponsorship of the Indian cricket team.
Sahara has been linked with ownership of one of the next IPL franchises – possibly to be based in the northern Indian city of Lucknow – where the group is headquartered.
The group was also linked with a possible Manchester United shirt deal last February but it fell through.
Today a spokesman for the Sahara Group would neither confirm nor deny a morning report that suggested Roy’s interest in Liverpool was “serious”.
“We are presently not in a position to comment,” Sahara spokesman Abhijit Sarkar said.
However, Mukesh Ambani – the seventh richest man in the world – has denied claims that he is among those interested in investing in Liverpool.
“There is no truth to the report. We deny it completely,” Reliance spokeswoman Sudeep Purkayastha said.
But Echo sources indicate Ambani’s Reliance Group are weighing up a potential involvement with Liverpool FC.

The Ambani link seems stronger than the Subrata Roy one, and hes the wealthiest.

Depends on which ones

Any spokesperson worth his salt would never make an on-the-record comment that wasn't true.

In this case, having read the Guardian piece, I'd believe that no approaches have been made. Doesn't mean it couldn't happen in the future, but it does sound as though the Times jumped the gun.

It's telling that the original Times story didn't have a comment, 'no comment', denial, or even just a mention of spokespeople from the 2 Indians. That says to me that they didn't bother trying to get in touch with them. That's poor journalism, and calls into question their sourcing.

on an unrelated note, I have a chance to go slumming it on the 27th, are you gonna be there??

Almost all of the online pieces I'm reading today state that Subrata Roys Sahara group has come out and categorically denied possible investment or takeover. But as per the piece in the Echo above, Ambano's Reliance group havent made a statement denying it or otherwise.

Either way, I wish someone would come and invest in the most succesful team in England ;) We need new investment urgently :spank:

Milan Jovanovic has signed for LFC for free, good value considering Real Madrid offered Liege decent money for him last season. Looks like a certain exit for Babel now.

I like what Milan stated recently

Milan Jovanovic...

Jan 2009 - "everton aren't a big club. That club i have turned down already"

Feb 2010 - "I opted to sign for Liverpool because they're one of the biggest teams in Europe"

Reminiscent of Spurs' early season form...

:p

I always knew we would improve this year, and even with a shedload of dropped points, our away form is much better, so from an overall season point of view, doing great guns.

I thought you lot were supposed to be challenging for the title this year?

or was it the Champions League...
