The footy !!

Ferdinand as England captain???? A man of such high moral values of course.

Well done British Press...

I don't think the British press make Terry bang his team mate's bird or tout out tours off Chelsea's training ground or rent out his Wembley box so can't blame the media.

Ferdinand was vice captain so makes sense for him to have it. Probably not my choice but I wouldn't have picked Terry either.

To be honest they all have a few skeletons in the cupboard so no matter who get's it they are funked!

No but are they sackable offences, lets not forget she was bridge's ex missus and also been round the team a bit before she went out with him so surely he is no position to moan. Yes it is crass, but is it a sackable offence??? Beckham/Loos situation pretty much the same as I can tell, the false sanctimony among the press is beyond a joke reminds me of how they treated Hoddle, who was sacked for his religious beliefs at the end of the day. The politicians wading in as well has been beyond irony.

The people I feel sorry for in this whole mess are Bridge and JT's missus and the kids as well all of which are innocent parties.

Max Clifford rubbing his palms again I see...

Just heard from a mate of mine who works in the city and has a few contacts, that the up until now un named chelsea player who slipped vanessa peroncel a length is none other than Mr Ashley Cole and that cheryl is issuing divorce proceedings as i type this so all should come out in the papers on sunday.

So both Terry and Cole were with her:?::lol:

^^^

i dont see how it'll make much difference. plenty of other captain material in the squad.

Ashley Cole is the other Chelsea player having a plop I hear!

Man or woman :? :?: If that fella doesnt bat for the other team then I'm Desmon tutu !!

If he has done the dirty Biffa will have to get rid, she cant put up with it twice surely :spank:

Must be a Chelsea thing, theyre all sex mad them lot

and its gone to whiter than white, everyones favourite cokehead/womaniser

Rio!!!! :p

I know, how funkin ridiculous :spank:

Why not do everyone a favour and give it to Stevie G...might bring out some passion in him too a la Liverpool

Not being biased, but I think it would bring the best out of him, like it has at LFC !

You cant blame the press entirely, yes they played a big part, but it was JT who played away !!

No, but I can blame the media for the sanctimonious clap-trap that they've been printing over the last week, how the Sun can claim to be the paper of our armed forces with their help for heroes campaign etc and then when Blair gives evidence at the Iraq enquiry relegate that story to page 10 and have this story on the front page. What a joke....

Now we all have a squeaky clean captain we can look up to in Rio, Yay...:roll::roll: Lets hope the young kids up and down the country follow his lead kicking people when his team lose, kicking the ball at there home fans when a decision goes against them, elbowing opponents in the mush I won't even mention missing drug tests.

(here's to 2014)

Exactly how long can we keep this tabloid-fueled turmoil going?

Can we make sure it distracts the players on June 12?

See you in Rustenburg! :D

As a neutral, that was probably the best game of football i've seen this season, football the way it should be. Cauldron-like atmosphere, bloodthirsty challenges left right and centre, great attacking, great defending. There isn't a top league in the world that could deliver such an intensely physical, yet skillful game as Liverpool and Everton did today. Hats off to them both.

Everton's Landon Donovan looks like a very useful attacker, if he could learn some better de-fense he'd be a very good player, and a good addition to Everton and the Premier League alike.

quite true..

Rooney- prostitute
Rio - drugs issue
Gerrard - GBH questions (not proven guilty i know but never the less)
Lampard - Affair
Ashley - where do you start..

I say make Heskey captain!

:lol::lol::lol:

can you imagine if you put a rap sheet together of our collective crimes, skeletons and dirty secrets.........

Is 150k a week and captain of club and country not enough for JT?

Is the arrogance of the man that has done it for most people.

I don't give a **** what people do behind closed doors but this fella has been pushing it for a while now. Not just him but his family too. The fella thinks he is fireproof and can do what he wants and get away with it which is wrong. Whatever we all think John Terry is a total wrong un. I'm not saying this from what I read as I don't need to do that.

Don't get me wrong there ain't many angels(luckily I will never be picked i'd make JT look like Mother Teresa although i've never hung out the back of a mate's bird!) but this man has pushed it and something had to give. He didn't leave the manager much choice did he?

A few of my mates who are Chelsea fans think he is bang out of order and a disgrace who thinks he is above the law. They also say he ain't even the best defender at Chelsea never mind England. Weren't so long ago when Carvaliho was out of the Chelsea side and goals were leaking in.

I think if Ledley King or Jonathan Woodgate were fit (and Rio) then Terry would not be a starter for England. He is a decent defender not doubting that but he has been very fortunate that England have suffered in an area we used to be strong in. Same as goalkeeper now. David James to me is the best but risky and what's the next Rob Green? Oh please.

As much as I'd love to agree, you'll never get the same passion from him for England as he shows for Liverpool.

Reading his autobiography a few years back, it was clear he's always seen the England setup as "external".

Not that he wouldn't be a good captain, trouble is England suffer from too many egos on the pitch and an on field rollicking from any appointed "leader" just wouldn't have the same impact as it does at club level...

The way Torres skinned Ferdinand at our place, I'm surprised he's even being considered for the starting eleven!!

Great shout from the Kop yesterday when Yakubu came on:

Also great to see Man city, spurs and arsenal slipping up !! Lets hope Bolton nick a result ;)

I we beat the arse on wednesday we could be 2 poins off 3rd 8)

i'll wait until after youve played the arse and we've played wolves. ;)

Wolves are a hard team to beat, it wont be easy. Could be 4 points difference come wednesday night ;) Then I think you should change it.

Fine, skip a week if it helps...

;)

Only a couple of days mate ;)

Bolton and woves will both be difficult, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

As for the Arse, after the few weeks they have had their confidance is probably as low as our was back end of last year. I'm quietly confident we can get a result.

The 2nd half of the season was always going to be the test for the top 4 hopefuls, these next few weeks will be very decisive.

Top 'o the league, top o' the league :p

We had the Arse running around in circles. It was masterclass in defending, led by England's best central defender.

Loving the new Drogba too. Fell down after being kicked around a couple of times, but he got right back up and limped it off instead of rolling about on the floor. And the goals... ah yes, the goals!
