The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

Whats the overall thoughts on the vibe and feel of the club then?

How much do you notice the VIP presence and going forward how do people think the club will elvove?

I've just got home and I have really mixed feelings about Hï.

We arrived around 06:30 and took a wander round the venue, catching the end of Nic Fanculli's set which sounded decent.

We then spent the next few hours in the Theatre watching Luciano who was excellent. Once he finished (around 10am), we moved across to the club room to watch Apollonia. A solid set from them as usual.

Overall I'm just not that keen on the venue as a whole. The theatre sound system sounded great when I arrived and the visuals were excellent. To be honest the VIP thing didn't bother me too much, although admittedly we were quite close to the front so they weren't in eye view.

The club room for me was quite disappointing - the beautiful 'warm' sound from that room seems to be gone. Perhaps this will improve with time, but there seemed to be no atmosphere in this room.

That felt like a running theme for the entire venue - impressive in some instances, but it felt too polished, fake and not to my tastes.

I will try it again in the future, but from my first visit I wasn't they impressed.

RIP scooter :(
Very sad news

theatre: despite it being the main feature of the venue, it's currently the area I liked least. the vip I actually don't mind that much, once you're comfortably set on the dancefloor you don't notice them any more than at pacha IMO. what I didn't like was that the room was generally too bright for my liking and I really don't appreciate getting lasers right in my eyes.

Maybe they can improve on the visuals buy decreasing the contrast or brightness next time? I mean it's a called a theatre room and if we're talking a cinema version of it, then they could try emulating that as movie screens turn down the brightness generally. Not sure if that would make a difference because in the vids it did seem rather bright.

In their defence you can't really judge the atmosphere on their very first night. That will take time to build as the djs and 'clubbers' settle in.
From the vids Iv seem I'm not sure I like it too much.

From the videos I've seen, it looks like they could do with being a bit smarter with the lighting in that room. It just looks really busy, like there's loads going on and very confusing as to what you're supposed to focus on. Someone made the comparison with liquid, and that's what it looks like to me. Every light and lazer in the place turned on with on real creative thought as to how it makes the room feel.

I completely agree on this. I think it's important we all keep this in mind. I'm probably going back on saturday for black coffee's opening night and I'm fairly sure I'll find an already quite different vibe.

RIP scooter :(

the good news of the day is that my beloved scooter will survive :) just got a call from the emergency room (the garage) and after a heavy CPR session it's stable again ;)

jokes aside, but with the amount of traffic on the roads you guys can't imagine how handy a scooter comes in ibiza in the summer months.

Slightly off topic, but is the island feeling more / less busy than usual? First time since about 2004 nobody from my social group is out there for openings.

Chatting to a longstanding islander yesterday and she said it was the busiest May she's seen and numbers are up considerably at the airport.
