The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

He's set at Ushuaia Closing last year was fantastic - great track selection and finishing with Mousse T's Remix of 'Purple Rain' during sunset was pretty special.

I think this event really has some legs - depending on the lineup, I think there is a strong chance I will be missing elrow closing for this night.
 
Is anyone else struggling to come to terms with the legendary space now being called Hi? What's people's thoughts on how successful it'll be?
 
the above video starts and ends in what used to be the sunset terrace (now the magic garden). then the guy walks over via the main entrance into the club (former terraza), then goes back quickly into the theatre (former discoteca) and then back into the garden.
 
A slide?! :lol: do you have to be VIP to use it? Can't see the 'cool' people been up to shouting "weeeeeee" as they slide down it.

Looks like they've still got a lot left to do to opening.

the light set up in the club looks pretty cool to be fair!
 
I remember walking into a club that we being refurbed 2-days before it was due to open, and thinking there's no way this is gonna be done in time. It was still very much a building site.

Low and behold, it was open on time as advertised (even though there were workmen finishing off niggly odds and sods right up until the 11th hour.)

Worst I could say was there was a residue of site dust in the backstage, non-public areas. But then again this lingered for a good 6-months after the opening in any case. I think they will be fine. I remember the same comments on these forums when Ocean Beach was readying to open a few years ago.
 
Was just thinking about something there... Hi Ibiza Opening party... 8hrs, 2 rooms (and a slide seemingly)... 60e!!!!

Recent Space Opening parties... Anything from 5-8hrs longer, 5 rooms and the car park open!!!! Same price...

Am i missing something here???

who said it was 8hrs? it starts at 8pm. the closing time isn't announced yet, but the total duration of the party won't be much less than it used to be for space openings.

ticket isn't cheap though, I quite agree.
