The building formerly known as Space --> HÏ Ibiza

Be grateful it hasn't been painted orange and called EasyClub! (Mmm .... there's an idea.)

Although I am a fan of the tango airline - they make my travel plans a lot more achievable!!

If you want that sort of experience you would expect from an easyClub. Go to the warehouse project in Manchester

Well looking at their twitter feed and the names they're trying to attract to the place, not looking good. Taylor Swift and f***ing Pewdiepie ??? Can't see much decent underground nights happening. I wonder how much of the place will be dedicated to just VIP

I mentioned a walkway from Ushuaia to the club awhile ago on here. My bartender buddy in PDB told me that.....can't believe that rumor is actually true.

As for the name, unless there is a story behind it, it's just stupid.

My expectations are very low for this place. Even if they do end up having some decent nights, like a Diynamic, I fully expect the crowd and vibe to be Vegas-like shite.

If the new space turns out to be shit, music and crowd wise, how much of an impact could it have on people deciding to stay in den bossa? Between space and djs on the beach which is becoming increasingly rarer ( the old Ushuaia, beachouse, no name gone and Bora Bora fading) will people justify paying double the odds for accommodation when the two big hitters are now Amnesia and Privilege equally close to San Antonio?

We are talking about Ushuaia Group here. I mean love or hate them and their line ups at Ushuaia, they bring in 3,000+ a night (and a hell of a lot more some nights) into that outside venue we all seem to hate.

I don't doubt they'll get the numbers at all, however there must be many who stay in den bossa purely on the back of the now dwindling day parties and the more underground nights at space. Just wondering what the incentive will be to pay silly money just to stay there. I can't help thinking that 1 or 2 quality nights in San Antonio could compete for this market. It's not as if the clubs aren't there already waiting to come back to life.

Space closing is a great opportunity for San an and the other clubs to up their game. f*** that shit in pdb!

Official video -

If there is someone I want to see playing at Hi I will go, I want to see it before I pass judgement

Promo video looks decent. Got one of my fav tunes on! Hopefully they will have something decent on Sundays or Mondays so will be able to check it out.

Shit music by our standards likely means a lot of American and Middle Eastern money spent on bottle service and sparklers...

Just watched the promo for the first time. Funny, you think a place with this type branding would've wanted to keep Elrow around.

Or, on the other hand, maybe they're going to keep the branding consistent and just bring in different DJs. That's how many of the clubs here in the States operate. And they're the pits.

I've never been to Ushuaia as none of the events have ever appealed to me. However, if Hi put on nights that I'm interested in, I'd definitely be happy to give it a go.

Pretty straightforward really.
