So the outcome is Brand resigns and will make a fortune from the noteriety (good on him!), this isn't the first or probably the last time he'll get into trouble for taking a joke a little too far, Ross looses a few weeks pay but keeps his job (glad about that too), there's still no mention of the senior producer who allowed this to get broadcast on air (???) and the controller of Radio 2 quits her job (very foolish), oh and over 30,000 people who never even heard the original broadcast jump on the band wagon to complain to the bbc (oh how good it feels to be British) and the stupid cow who decided to sleep with Russell Brand will now find fame and fortune..wait for her cover story in heat magazine...despite her obvious intentions for making this a big deal, she was probably the one who originally called the Daily Mail....ridiculous!

I whole heartedly don't believe that Andrew Sachs was truely upset over what Brand and Ross did, yes a bit put out with all the media attention and I certainly don't condone what the did but he hadn't even listened to the messages until the press called him to get his comments, I think he'd be more upset that all this has revealed his grand daughter's porn past, rather than the fact that she just slept with Brand, I'm sure he didn't think she was some sort of virgin!

I actually agree with robder and helen989 and think the whole issue has been taken out of proportion and the general public's reaction has been ridiculous in my opinion.

The thing is Ross is on a HUGE amount of money which "we" pay and if we decide not to pay we could in theory go to prison. He is not new tho the bussiness so should know the limits he can go to, possibly he weilds so much power at the beeb he thought he was untouchable?. Brand on the otherhand has trouble knowing what is acceptable and has been sacked on numerous occasions, I think what has been done in terms of punishments was about right, it was clear brand was going to be pushed so he jumped, lets face it he has plenty of experience so knew what was coming.

Well it worked for Emo Phillips, except he was funnier than Brand, but same with both of them, the 'disguise' part of their acts let them both down, they dont need to look wierd to be funny.:

...and as a result I want to take back what I said earlier.
I'm not sure if anyone has made this point already (possibly Buckley) but just because the woman is getting her bits out and being overtly sexual, it doesn't make her a slut.
Society seems to have a problem with women that want to be sexual but not subserviant.
OK - so she has a dance troupe called the satanic sluts...what's wrong with this? It sounds to me like something you'd see at TG - i.e. something that involves a bunch of women publicly enjoying their bodies in a powerful way (as opposed to lap dancing clubs and top shelf porn which is purely for blokes to jack off over - not that this is necessarily wrong either I guess).
If I was Georgina, I'd think it was absolutely fine to do artsy fartsy porn shows in alternative clubs whilst keeping my integrity at the same time. I'd also think it would be fine for me to want to do this and not tell my family. My grandparents wouldn't understand either - and nor should they be exposed to it.
Basically - Ross and Brand ARE at fault because they've gone public and outed her as a slut on live radio...and told her entire family about her private life at the same time. That's not nice at all...and they deserve to be suspended (but not fired).
In the mean time, she should be allowed to continue to do what she loves.

That's the whole point, it wasn't live. They did a risky show and it's up to the editors to edit out whatever they think is wrong or to simply not broadcast it.
If they thought it was out of order they shouldve just given Brand and Ross a ticking off, not broadcast it and get them to do the show again.. easy.
To be honest i always found it strange they were in Radio 2 in the first place, completely wrong audience demographic surely!

Its still free to speak your mind in this country. I'll admit it was a bit near the mark leaving a message oi his answer phone but they said sorry and thats the end of it. If people reacted like this because a joke was made at their expense then nothing would get said.
I find it hard to find sympathy for her, not because she is an exotic dancer but the first thing she did was sign was sign up with a publicist. If you want to keep things private thats hardly the best course of action is it.

When Dispatchers played the interview Brand did with Jimmy Saville for the radio was creepy and so blatantly obvious what Saville was like.
