Great tip - which really does work. Its so simple but its effective....

When you are really hungry just drink a large glass of water, apparently hunger can be mistaken for thirst, so try having a drink of water first, if after say 10 mins you are still hungry then have a snack.

The water thing really does work.....

Water also will help your body to eliminate toxines. ;)

So far so good... only healthy stuff all day, plus no drinks apart from water.

I don't even feel hungry 8O I think I've eaten so much over the last week or so I've got enough steak/pie/chips/curry/roast potatoes stored in my gut I wont feel hunger for about another 2 weeks

I've read this too. Drinking lots of water should be part of your diet plan.

And you should make it ice cold water. There's a small but existent calorie-burning effect as your body heats the water to body temperature.

Actually that's wrong - it should be room temp water as ice cold will slow down your metabolism - but as I cant bear warmish water - it has to be very very icy for me to drink it so I take no notice of this rule....

Still aim to drink up to 3 ltrs a day depending on your weight....

negative calorie foods are awesome. fruit ones are great for snacks too. basically your body uses more calories processing the food than are contained in calories in the food.

what i do to spice the veggies up a bit is after steaming/boiling, just add some mixed herbs or basil or oregano or anything basically to add some flavour, works a treat on zucchini. asparagus is delicious in its own right

I've read otherwise... like I said, the lower temperature forces your body into action to heat the water (perhaps this could take away from other food-burning activity, but we're talking about in-between meals).

If you remember your high school physics, you can even calculate the number of calories burned in the process.

for me, WHEN I eat, not just what I eat helps..

And make sure you are doing some high intensity interval training and weight training as well. For me, this is the only way I get results. Its different for everyone, but I found when I was in my fittest shape, it was when I was running (training) and doing weights 3-4 times a week.

I don't think just doing cardio is the best thing. Like I said its different for everyone, but I used to have swimming training twice a day, every day, but it wasn't until I was training track and x-country along with a weight program that I saw any benefits. I know this is the kind of training I need to do to get back into the shape I want to be in. now I find, if I'm going to pick only one type of exercise, I do weights before cardio..

I find too, that if I skip a day of healthy eating/exercise that soon turns into another day, week, month and so on.. and then I find myself in a rut.. which is especially hard to break in the winter, when its pitch black and minus 10 out in the morning...(i.e I should take my own advice right now.. ha ha!)
