Well we bought some weight watchers scales yesterday (very good, tell you your Body mass index and percentage and how much water you have in your system) well worth the £30 price tag. We stocked up on slimfast shakes, slimfast snacks, fruit veg etc and have also both joined the online webpage which is free and also very useful and now we are ready to go.

I have set myself a goal to loose 3 stone by 24th June, maybe a bit un-realistic but im going to try anyway.

Its a calorie controlled diet so evening meals and normal snacks are just healthy eating regimes so its not too hard and too much of a change.

I really want to do this :x

Wish us luck :D :D :D

all my friends that did the GI diet seemed to lose a lot of weight and have much more wholesome poos (   )

I'm just going to go to the gym this year and be super hot by the summer - so whenever I book my ibiza holiday for will be my deadline!

Good luck Mambo, but i would also recommend the gym to help burn off any excess weight.

It will help tone your body as the weight comes off too.

Oh yea yea we will be doing some exercise too, i already do 30 mins walking a day on top of what else i shall be doing.

Good luck. I am also starting a diet, it seems I am allways in a diet but now is diferent cause I won't do so many " diets days off". Since a month a go I go walking about one hour every day, fast walking if you know what I mean. Is good that you partner is with you cause I makes it easier, I have my sister and most of my friends. One of my closer friends lives with his boy friend that is very skinny whatever he eats, and is very dificult to eat a salad or boiled vegetables or grilled meat and veggies while you boyfriend keeps eating huge plates of pasta with plenty of cream and cheese, pizzas, fried eggs with potatoes, etc:evil:

Good luck

Good luck Mambs... I'm setting myself a target to lose a stone by June, although I will be happy if I lose half a stone and tone up a bit. I'm so looking forward to getting back into going to the gym. Christmas is great for relaxing and pigging out, but has anyone else had just about enough of eating?!
I'm even turning down chocolates because I am just sick of eating them 8O

Its strange, doesnt even appeal to me at the moment because like Becki im sick of eating naughty snacks.

If i can loose at least 3 lbs a week it will give me the incentive to carry on.

Try and aim to burn 2000 calories per week at the gym.

Couple this with a fairly strict diet and 3lb should be quite easy to achieve.

If you do fancy a treat, try and avoid anything with sugar though. Sugar is by far the worst thing in food and drinks. If you like crisps, Seabrooks do a good one which are low fat and have no salt (for example)

;)

Thanks Drew but the diet is a calorie controlled diet as aposed to a low fat diet ;)

I know about the sugar thing, just drinking the 2 litres a day without any flavoured squash. Im allowed green tea too.

Im allowed 250 calories for breakfast, 250 as a mid morning snack, 250 for lunch, 250 a afternoon snack, 600 for dinner and then another 250 for a late evening snack.

I think its to do with portion size and the little and often trick too.

Im going to have to get some weight watchers wine, theres 100 calories in a vodka so its going to kill me when i want to go out and have a drink :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:

Im now eating two Baker's Oven Sausage Rolls and a Chocolate Donut, washed down by a litre of Irn Bru ;)

They don't call me FatPhilB for nowt!

You need to aim for 20,000 calories per week in the gym 8O

This healthy eating pish is over-rated!

Im now going outside to chain smoke two cheapass Richmond granny fags...

See you in hell

I recently read about this new diet that I think is the most logical (and obvious) thing I've ever seen.

It's basically this: You eat what you want, when you want it, except that you only eat a) when you're truly hungry and b) until you're no longer hungry.

It sounds too simple to be true but the university professor that designed it lost a lot of weight and kept it off. It takes more getting used to than you'd think - you've got to learn to stop snacking randomly and to stop eating before you're stuffed. Nevertheless, it's intuitive and appears to work.

Paul McKenna Diet i think that is.

Doesnt work for me though although i will admit to being phycological hungry when the truth be known. I eat when im bored, upset, lonely, on my special time etc. :spank:

i too am on the usual diet in prep for hols! :D
started last wed and so far i have already lost 3lbs, if i loose 3 or 4 lbs a week i will be dead pleased!
Im doin the weight watchers online and u might have tempted me to go out n buy their scales!!!!! :!:

Great tip - which really does work. Its so simple but its effective....

When you are really hungry just drink a large glass of water, apparently hunger can be mistaken for thirst, so try having a drink of water first, if after say 10 mins you are still hungry then have a snack.

The water thing really does work.....
