Dates you were there: 13-21. April, which was Easter.

Where you stayed: 2 nights at Hotel Vibra District, 2 nights at Es Mitjorn and 4 nights at Hotel Abrat. I had hoped to stay the entire time at Abrat, but it only opened halfway into my holiday.

Club nights visited: Sven at Las Dalias/Akhasa on Thursday. I had plans to get a couple of hours both at Es Paradis and Eden later in the week. But I was too tired both evenings, and fell asleep well before midnight.

Best night: Sven at Las Dalias. Everything was perfect.

Worst night: None. Actually no bad experiences.

Best bar: I don't usually do bars for the bar itself, but I really like the vibe at Flaherty's in San An. The staff are older, well experienced, and know exactly what the customer needs. There's no nonsense. I appreciate this more as the years go by. The tables that are almost on the pavement is my favourite spot for the first beer in Ibiza.

Best place to eat: I haven't found this place yet. I'm a massive meat eater on a low carb diet. I also don't eat french fries, which is now called anything from chips to potatoes. Waiters act weird when I want the chips/fries replaced with real potatoes or veggies. It's also almost impossible to find places that serve large enough portions of red meat, and have the right vibe. The place with the perfect vibe in San An is Rita's Cantina. Sadly they don't have any real meat dishes. The dish with seemingly most meat is tasty, but only has a few scrapings of actual meat.

Best beach and/or beach club: I prefer beaches with no music. Any beach without a beach bar playing music is my favourite.

Money spent: Je ne regrette rien.

Biggest regret: Ibiza is best experienced on a road bike. The hills both south and north of San An are wonderful for cycling at an intermediate level. In a car the landscape just passes quickly by. On a road bike you're immersed in both the landscape, the heat, the wind, the sounds and smells. You have to earn each hill and view, and in Ibiza you are very much rewarded. My biggest regret is spending the winter weight lifting and running, not also doing some cardio on a bike. I am so totally out of cycling shape that renting a road bike made no sense this year.

Going back?: Yes, but probably not before Easter next year. I will have done lots of cycling before then. During my next visit I will only go to day/evening events, and get up ealy to go cycling or hiking. Let's hope Las Dalias is still going strong.

Top tip: You will regret the 3AM tattoo.

Observations and/or conclusion: It was a nice trip. I needed to get away from work, and do nothing. Ibiza is a civilized and safe destination.

Dates you were there:

25-29/4

Where you stayed:

2 nights Ses Figures, Talamanca & 2 days Villa Florimar, Talamanca.

Club nights visited:

Fri - IMS, Melon Bomb @ Pikes, Solomun @ Pacha

Saturday - Pikes house party

Sunday - Beat Hotel, Las Dalias / Akasha.

Best night:

Very tough to call but for the music and crowd overall it was the Beat Hotel event. Hardly seen a single phone in the air either 👌🏼

Worst night:

Had lots of fun Friday at Pikes but wasn’t the usual crowd andnthe music was great but there were a fair few young idiots in there looking like they’d come straight from O beach. Just had a bit of attitude making a lot of people uncomfortable. Saturday, normal service had resumed with a perfect Pikes crowd.

Best bar:

Just the usuals - Paradise Lost, Tira palla (Ibiza town)

Best place to eat:
Had a lovely last meal in La Oliva last night in the old town. Bahia in Talamanca was good tapas too. Fish Shack still not open btw.

Best beach and/or beach club:

Sa Trinxa again. Went later this time due staying at Solomum till 8am (anyone know what time it finished btw? Was still rammed at 8am) so we didn’t get down to Sa Trinxa till late afternoon so had a different experience with everyone dancing 😎

Money spent:

Roughly a grand between 2 of us. Plus accommodation

Biggest regret:

Naaaah

Going back?:

Yup! The new girlfriend fell in love with the island instantly so will back but will be more exploring with a car and hit the north which I’ve never done but obviously find space for the odd party 😉

Top tip:
Don’t lie in bed feeling rough if you’ve over indulged. Get in the sea, have an another beer and enjoy every minute cos your time there always goes fast.

Observations and/or conclusion:
Yes DONT lie in bed ever.. You just get anxious / stressed and regret the madness.. Up, down a couple of beers and seek out some beats somewhere or hit the beach.. Love La Oliva for dinner. Its funny those O'Beach boys, thinking their cool actually are the sore thumbs sticking out!

Any Ibiza holiday isn't over until one has rid oneself of any hangovers, STDs, viruses and bacterial infections acquired during the holiday.

It's been 17 days since I arrived back how. Consequently this has been my longest Ibiza holiday ever.

Anyone know how long this year's Ibiza-related weird cold or flu with sore throat, night sweats, runny stomach and excessive production of gas usually lasts?

I'm keen on moving on.

Dates you were there: 9 - 11 May

Where you stayed: Es Grop Apartmentos, Portinatx - lovely location, amazing views...maybe the flats could be improved a little bit, a few repairs, but i am not that fussy and especially staying for just a couple of days, enjoyed my stay!

Club nights visited: none

Best night / Worst night: basically I only stayed one night, as I arrived on the 9th very late and just went to sleep lol.
On saturday unfortunately no sunset and very cloudy, so I bought Albarino, iberico, tortilla and bread....and just had a picnic on the beautiful terrace in the flat, along with music and good vibes.

Best bar: Bar Costa (Santa Gertrudis) on Sunday lunch time before going to the airport, so busy but always a good time in there (and amazing prices!)

Best place to eat: Bar Costa again, simple food is the best! I also went to Giri Cafe in Sant Joan on Saturday, and really liked it, standard prices, amazing wine and croquetas (my love😍)

Best beach and/or beach club: unfortunately the weather wasnt so good, i managed to spend some sunny time on the beach below my apartment (S'Arenal Petit)...the water so clear it looks like a swimming pool...honestly beautiful! Sunday early morning i walked to Cala Xarraca and I managed to get a little sunshine time there too, I was the only one there as it was so early, I loved it, so peaceful and wild at the same time!

Money spent: even if i stayed just 2 days, money goes so fast lol

Biggest regret: no regrets, just hoped for a bit more sun but what can we do!

Going back?: back on 27may for Camelphat😎

Top tip: I used "Holiday Taxis" from the airport as I arrived super late and there were no buses, that seemed the cheapest option (£20 airport-portinatx at 00:30)...after reading some reviews online i started worrying no one would be there to pick me up lol. Buuuutttt it was amazing! I booked a shared taxi, but I got a van all for myself, clean and modern, the driver was so nice he also helped me finding my flat, talking on the phone with the receptionist. So I recommend it and if needed i will use it again.

Observations and/or conclusion: this time I decided to start my season in a more relaxed way, exploring and just chilling in the north (first time staying there), I enjoyed it, very quiet, I was just walking around taking in the views, cuddling cats on the street and looking at flowers 😊.
We all need to slow down and take it easy from time to time!✨

I stayed there in 2011 out of season, end of October and loved it

Happy to know you enjoyed the best resort of the island 🏝️
So no problem to find somebody at Es Grop at this time of the night 🙏

That's what I call positive thinking! Never thought of the week I spent in hospital with pneumonia after coming back from Ibiza in 2022 as an extension of the holiday 🤪

Dates you were there: 10th to 17th May

Where you stayed: Ibiza Rocks (4 nights) - Apartamentos Nord, Portinatx (2 nights)

Club nights visited: Amnesia opening, Circo opening (should also have been Pikes and Defected but never made it out)

Best night: Amnesia opening (a brilliant techno session)

Worst night: Never have a bad night, always make the most of it

Best bar: Visited several none stood out!

Best place to eat: Restaurante El Puerto, Portinatx - the paella for four was next level good

Best beach and/or beach club: Didn't visit any

Money spent: About £1,700 (accom, flights, booze, supplies)

Biggest regret: Not doing more day parties I've come to realise I just can't hack an all nighters anymore (back usually goes) and end up doing half the night despite not going to sleep for 24 hours after anyway! Need to go later in the season (we keep going early as too excited and just want to get out there) which we hopefully will in 2026.

Going back?: Always. Likely 2026 now.

Top tip: Hire a car!

Observations and/or conclusion: So this was my 10th trip and we finally hired a car and went exploring around the island. Lovely day trip to Ibiza Town and didn't realise how many great independent shops there were. Will be returning there for some clothes at some point. The idea was to head to Portinatx for two nights to 'chill' ended up smashing it just as hard up that way but mainly in the bars. I've got serious Ibiza blues but the whole group have committed to returning next year :)

Also stumbled across this art gallery in the middle of nowhere called Lost Art Studios. Definitely check it out!

did you go with your bird or a mate?

Dates you were there: May 16-19

Where you stayed: Occidental Ibiza

Club nights visited: Slip Back in Time White Party @Es Paradis (Review), Pikes House Party (saw the queue and turned around)

Best night: none

Worst night: both

Best bar: sa Trinxa

Best place to eat: Only used the hotel buffet (all inclusive), it's not very fancy but good (except for orange juice).

Best beach and/or beach club: I only go to best beaches . Salinas and Cala Conta this time

Money spent: 500€ incl flights/hotels/car

Biggest regret: Not taking snorkeling gear - there were lots of fish, fish even bumped into me several times!

Going back?: September 2025 for ITE

Top tip: Observe the weather forecast so early in the season and plan accordingly. Not all days are sunny. Weather is different in different parts of the island.

Observations and/or conclusion:

Visiting Ibiza in May is now a routine for me. This was my first and probably last time at an all inclusive hotel in Ibiza - a hotel dinner time between 7-10pm just sucks, doesn't match my Ibiza schedule at all. And free flowing alcohol isn't of much use when you drive a rental car every day.

A big surprise was smelling jet fuel and hearing a helicopter doing maneuvers when walking back from Torre Rovira. I followed the sound - it turned out there was a gathering of model helicopter enthusiasts! They even had a tiny heliport there, equipped with a windsock. Probably the last thing I expected to see on Ibiza, was interesting to chat with these freaks 🤓

Friday - arrival at 7pm, check in, dinner at the hotel, sleep, Slip Back in Time @Es Paradis

Saturday - a whole day @sa Trinxa, groceries shopping at Mercadona, sunset at Port d'es Torrent, dinner at the hotel, drove to Pikes but turned back, explored the new psychedelic West End

Sunday - Torre Rovira, Space and Time, Puertas Can Soleil, hotel lunch, Cala Conta incl. sunset, hotel dinner

Monday - hotel pool, unsuccessful search for flamingos in salinas, flight back home at 3pm

Back story... This year I will celebrate a milestone birthday, my present is Burning Man, my wife and I have been planning. Being a wonderful woman she wanted to do something I didnt know about. She booked this Ibiza trip with the help of a friend's friend, arranged for 2 other couples to be there, sorted the clubs out - everything other than IMS because she wasnt sure we had time from landing to get checked-in and to Ibiza town. I didnt know any details, they even lied about the hotel until we were in the taxi 😅

Dates you were there:
25-28th April 2025
Weather was very warm for early session 😎

Where you stayed:
Pikes Hotel, room 22 the residency - brilliant room. Apparently Mr Pikes built. It for his 4th wife, has it all + a roof top space for sunbathing or partying into the early hours! Suprised how quick you settle in to being a resident, all staff were great. Breakfast was a good surpise, closes at 11am which made us get up even on minimal sleep. Best of all worlds - good room (not modern, see waiting for the shower to warm up), cool pool to chill in the day, good food, variety of guest, good parties, somehwere to have a breather from Freddies, place to party in during or afterwards. Was reasonably priced i'm told early season - better than Ive paid for a dive in San An with no perks.

Club nights visited:
FRI - IMS closing at Dalt Vila then Melon Bomb at Pikes. IMS was a good mixture of industry people, locals/residents and clubbers like ourselves. Not for the first time, I enjoyed the Melon Bomb party 😁

Sat - Ushuaia opening then Horse Meat Disco at Pikes. Ushuaia poor music but still had fun late on. Horse Meat was quality, live act in the entrance and jacuzzi packed, music was the best 🕺

Sun - 'We' had registered for the party at Las Dalias but group voted to enjoy the sun at Pikes. Benji B at Pikes - I had it in my head that he played DnB/hip hop but it was steady house from memory. Quieter than previous two nights but still there to the death and partied on after until early hours 😁

Best night:
Tough, enjoy them all. 2nd time at IMS, stunning setting/first party excitement but music at Horse Meat was brilliant 👏

Worst night:
Ushuaia easily. I didn't pay, Mrs did but 140e entry. Terrible, boring melodic house music from Ben Bohmer meant 3 out the 6 in our group left after 1 hr (reminder theyd paid 140e) it got better but harsly opening with a bang. Thankfully Pikes saved the evening.

Best bar:
Didn't do many. Dunes before Ushuaia was nice. Itaca still a great place to people watch in San An.

Best place to eat:
TAPAS San An. Went down as the world crashed (well Internet was off in Spain/Portugal and cash machines werent working). They said we could pay the next day, 7 ppl eating so some trust but we managed to get a paypal invoice sent to us and paid before meal came out. Food was excellent, first time friend loved it 👌 Pike breakfast and Sunday lunch with a group of 14 extended friends and sister-in-law who lives on the island was good.

Best beach and/or beach club:
Itaca I guess. Feet didn't touch the sand all holiday.

Money spent:
0e... Mrs must have spent a fair bit 🙌

Biggest regret:
No real regrets as I didnt plan it but @Paul_the_Pigeon going to Music on after Melon Bombs made me green with envy...
Suppose missing the part at Las Dalias but I have been a few times.

Going back?:
Yes, hopefull get a flying visit to see Carl Cox at Unvrs.
Pikes 100% Infact already sorted for next year. Absolutely loved it 🥰

Top tip:
Stay at Pikes at least once. If you're not comfortable where you stood/not feeling it - move, have a walk, get a drink and dance somewhere else with new people or energy.

Observations and/or conclusion:
Still love the place, met new people who were sound company and will return with them. Lots of different people and ages (one of our extended group was 75+ years old) sometimes you have to pick the right party. I am guilty of taking the odd 5 secs vid at a party (literally 5 secs x3 a night) but the Pikes policy of no pics/vids is the way to go especially when I compare Ushuaia to Pikes crowd.

I'm a liberal person, happy for couples or strangers having a good night but getting into each other for 40minutes right in front of me whilst Im dancing/trying to figure the djs' tunes out. Hypocrite, I know with my top tip but can you not do it somewhere else please 😁
