Club nights visited:
Just the one, we had a bit of an escapade down to Ants Ushuaia. Check the other thread

A good time was had.
Stepping into Ants the place was already buzzing. A DJ called Manda Moor seemed to be warming the crowd up nicely with some classic tracks. She played that Armand Van Holden track ‘I Want Your Soul’ and it sounded so good in the sunshine. Crowd were really digging it.
Another DJ that I thought was really good was a guy called Cloonee. He seemed to know what the crowd wanted as well. At one point he played this track called ‘Stephanie’. I’d heard it before on the radio and didn’t actually think it was that good of a record. But everyone in the crowd seemed to be reacting really positively to it and it actually sounded awesome

totally changed my mind on it.
He actually played another real belter of a tune but I can’t for the life of me find it. I imagine it’s one of those DJ ID tracks that you can never find anywhere. Why god, why

Best night:
Ibiza town.
Wait! What?
Yes, Ibiza town. Oh my god what has happened to me. We put some smart clothes on and caught the bus down into Ibiza town and walked around like a pair of absolute middle aged tourists (which is exactly what we are actually) sipping cocktails and talking to random people. Popping in and out of different bars drinking wine (yes wine, wtf) and cocktails.
Just walking around the harbour you see amazing yachts that would make a premiership footballers ego look modest. I felt like a very poor man, totally ashamed of my 8 year old VW Golf and my 3 bedroom ex council semi in post industrial Wallsend on Tyne.
Then there’s the Dalt Villa. Cobbled streets, medieval walls, history bursting out of every corner. I half expected a knight to gallop past on a horse and shout “VAMOS”. Charming and idyllic, the place stops you in your tracks and demands you to appreciate it.
I find it majestically picturesque with an olde worlde feeling around it. But with this underlying feeling that this isn’t just any sort of Mediterranean Old Town. No, this is Ibizas old town! As if there is a subconscious feeling coming from under the pavement that you are walking around a musically charged town and everyone is connected with some kind of love for dance music.
And the people, good lord the people. They are all either impossibly good looking, impossibly wealthy, or impossibly confused which decade it is. What an incredible mix of fashions going on. Guys cutting around in leather trousers and string vests without a care in the world, sipping Mimosa’s. Latin looking women in sparkly hot pants and high heels strutting along the street with natural rhythm and pace. People that look like they aren’t seeking anyone’s approval, just confidently owning their own bit of space.
And as the sun starts to go down the whole place just becomes that little bit more cool. Music and restaurants everywhere and outdoor spaces alive with people enjoying the evening air.
What a place. I needed a good lie down after getting back to my hotel.

Worst night:
I’ve had some terrible nights in my 41 years on this sometimes nasty planet, but I can confirm that none of them have been in Ibiza.
Best bar:
Could have been any of the several that we visited in Ibiza town. I can’t actually remember the name of a single one of them as I was very slightly drunk. Additionally, we always enjoy the bar called Dunes in PDB. Itaca as well, that is in San Antonio, its a great place to sit with a cold drink and watch the world go by.

Best place to eat:
We aren’t big foodies so I can’t really comment here. We always seem to just eat on the go or grab a snack. I called into Fatso’s a couple of times, they make amazing wraps. The staff in there are great crack too. However, on our last night of the holiday we fancied a nice sit down meal somewhere, just to finish our trip off. We went to Davids in San Antonio and had an amazing fillet steak each. We had been here before many years ago. the place has been fully renovated and is looking great. Highly recommend

Top tip: watch out with them little round tomatoes. My missus was a bit careless cutting into hers and it sprayed all over my white T-shirt

I spent the rest of the night looking like a right muppet. She thought it was hilarious. Heard her telling her mate about it on the phone when we got home.
Best beach and/or beach club:
We visited some lovely beaches. We hired a jeep and got out on the road nice and early. My missus made us a picnic each day, bless her. There are some great roads to cruise along, the countryside is really something else out here. Whether its rows of vineyards next to country villas or those jagged roads that carve their way around the high ground, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
I think my favourite beach had to be Cala Vedella. Tranquil and looking like the most classic postcard style holiday beach I think I’ve ever seen. The beach at Portinatx was also amazing. I was swimming in the bright blue water and the fish were swimming alongside me, not even slightly bothered by my presence. Both beaches had fine white sand and rocky shorelines.
Whenever I hurt myself, like stub my toe on furniture or bang my shin, I always try and block out the pain by going to my happy place. My happy place is somewhere in my own imagination, that temporarily takes me away from the pain I’m feeling. These beaches are my new happy places
Special mention must go to that cliff top walk, that takes you along to the lighthouse at Portinatx. What a cool way to spend a morning, navigating your way along this rugged pathway. I really like this Portinatx place, we will definitely return.

Money spent:
I don’t honestly know.
Biggest regret:
My biggest regret is going home on Monday the 2nd of June, because that’s when our holiday ended. I really fancied going to UNVRS to see the Eric Prydz night.
I don’t feel too bad about it to be honest because we booked this holiday in the middle of winter so had no way of knowing what was going to be on the line ups. It’s just my luck though

Going back?:
5th of August, booked and paid for. My missus is obsessed with this DJ called Dom Dolla and as soon as she saw that he was on at Hï Ibiza she started putting some immense peer pressure on me.
I buckled like a cheap metal coat hanger. Ibiza 2025 round 2 is literally weeks away for us.
Top tip:
I never feel like I have the wisdom, nor the experience, to offer any top tips to anyone on here. I mainly visit this site for awesome info hidden in the threads.
Although this year is the first time we’ve had enough money and time to have a proper week long holiday. Since 2019 we’ve only really managed to get away for weekend breaks and it can limit your activities.
I’d highly recommend getting out and exploring the island. Get as far as you can. There’s so much more.
Observations and/or conclusion:
I don’t know if it’s just me, but pretty much every time I’m getting close to visiting Ibiza I start getting this strange feeling that maybe this time will be my last. Somehow I won’t enjoy it and I will be quite happy never to return. I’ll be content in the knowledge that my Ibiza days are over and I’ll become one of those annoying people that always go on about “how good Ibiza was back in the day” and I’m done with it etc.
It’s actually quite the opposite, the place always seems to win me over again and each holiday gets better.
As for observations, I could go on and on. I wont bore you any more if you’ve read this far

but we always meet some right cracker jacks in Ibiza and have some funny interactions. The island itself is a natural wonder and every holiday we have here is bolstered by the absolute larger than life characters we meet.
