Tell us how it was - Ibiza 2025

Dates you were there: May 16-19

Where you stayed: Occidental Ibiza

Club nights visited: Slip Back in Time White Party @Es Paradis (Review), Pikes House Party (saw the queue and turned around)

Best night: none

Worst night: both

Best bar: sa Trinxa

Best place to eat: Only used the hotel buffet (all inclusive), it's not very fancy but good (except for orange juice).

Best beach and/or beach club: I only go to best beaches . Salinas and Cala Conta this time

Money spent: 500€ incl flights/hotels/car

Biggest regret: Not taking snorkeling gear - there were lots of fish, fish even bumped into me several times!

Going back?: September 2025 for ITE

Top tip: Observe the weather forecast so early in the season and plan accordingly. Not all days are sunny. Weather is different in different parts of the island.

Observations and/or conclusion:

Visiting Ibiza in May is now a routine for me. This was my first and probably last time at an all inclusive hotel in Ibiza - a hotel dinner time between 7-10pm just sucks, doesn't match my Ibiza schedule at all. And free flowing alcohol isn't of much use when you drive a rental car every day.

A big surprise was smelling jet fuel and hearing a helicopter doing maneuvers when walking back from Torre Rovira. I followed the sound - it turned out there was a gathering of model helicopter enthusiasts! They even had a tiny heliport there, equipped with a windsock. Probably the last thing I expected to see on Ibiza, was interesting to chat with these freaks 🤓

Friday - arrival at 7pm, check in, dinner at the hotel, sleep, Slip Back in Time @Es Paradis

Saturday - a whole day @sa Trinxa, groceries shopping at Mercadona, sunset at Port d'es Torrent, dinner at the hotel, drove to Pikes but turned back, explored the new psychedelic West End

Sunday - Torre Rovira, Space and Time, Puertas Can Soleil, hotel lunch, Cala Conta incl. sunset, hotel dinner

Monday - hotel pool, unsuccessful search for flamingos in salinas, flight back home at 3pm
What time the Pikes queue was that horrible? I try to match my arrival earlier then:)

What time the Pikes queue was that horrible? I try to match my arrival earlier then:)
I arrived at 23:45.

Later I discovered two mails from Pikes:
"The queue wait time is 30 minutes" - sent at 23:16
"The queue wait time is 45 minutes" - sent at 23:40

Lesson learned - check your mails frequently while in Ibiza 🤣

Note Pikes isn't free anymore - there is a mandatory 5EUR "charity contribution", at least that's what my ticket said. This is obviously peanuts, but someone must be testing the waters for paid entrance.

Dates you were there: 27-28 May

Where you stayed: La Bartola Guesthouse - Ibiza Town - loved it!! Central, quiet, clean, really comfortable! Single room with shared bathroom, the bathroom was just next door to my room and was kept in amazing condition, I actually booked it for 2 nights instead of just 1, as it was so cheap, and my flight back was at 9pm...best decision ever haha. Recommend it and will definitely come back!

Club nights visited: Pacha - Camelphat + Mind Against

Best night: Camelsss ❣️ got in just before 1 cos I really didn't want to miss Mind Against and stayed until the very end....music was amazing from both duos...honestly I've seen Camelphat many times and they never disappoint...the crowd was good and not many phones around...happy vibes🌞

Worst night: 0

Best bar: Pacha bar? haha. I have tried the drinks package and it's so good, i wish other clubs would introduce something similar at some point

Best place to eat: just bought some food+aquarius from the supermarket lol

Best beach and/or beach club: went to Salines for a few hours when i woke up, the water omg was so clear and warm, we all know is always beautiful but i think this is the best ive ever seen it! Also not so many people

Money spent: not much

Biggest regret: no regretsssssss

Going back?: next stop end of June for Prydz 😎

Top tip: not sure lol

Observations and/or conclusion: i just love it, more and more and more, don't know what else to say✨

Sounds like a good flying visit, really want to do something similar for Carl Cox at Univrs.

What is the Pacha drinks package? Like the tokens at Hi/Amnesia - 5 drinks for 95e?

Honestly it was so good and worth it! I got a flight after work and got there 11pm, quick change and run to Pacha, it's all so quick you don't even have time to think haha exciting! If you have good flights connection where you live, definitely do it😄 Even a super quick visit is worth.

I didn't know about the tokens, anyway these are the deals from Spotlight website:

It's a qr code at Ushuaia/Hi sorry, you take it to the bar and scan it each time and it knows how much you have left. My wife bought them for our trip in April and similar in previous years.

Shall report back if I find a date that works 😁

Dates you were there: 26th May to the 2nd of June

Where you stayed: First 2 nights at Pikes and next 5 at Imperio Playa Cala St Vincent

Pikes was special and the staff incredible. A very memorable 2 nights that I’ll never forget. The Imperio Playa was Perfect with a stunning sea view. Cala St Vincent is a beautiful part of the island

Club nights visited: Pikes Monday and Sven Opening at Las Dalias

Best night: Loved them both

Worst night: None

Best bar: watched the sun set at Space Eat and Dance and had a Few in The Golden Buddha not long after we landed Monday morning

Best place to eat: Prawn and Crab salad at Pikes was amazing and Boathouse in CSV was ace

Best beach and/or beach club: the Beach/Water at Cala St Vincent is Gorgeous and we went to Benirràs on our last Day. Had the market on and the whole vibe was great. It’s beautiful there and the water and views out to sea are amazing

Money spent: not loads but certainly enough. My Girlfriend doesn’t really drink which makes a big difference and we never go to mad on food and restaurants

Biggest regret: that we had to come home

Going back?: yes for 2 Nights on the Godskitchen weekend

Top tip: explore. Always explore. This time I made it round to the old lighthouse, Faro de Punta Grossa in CSV. Bit scary in places but it was amazing to finally turn a cliff side and see the lighthouse in the distance perched on the cliff edge. Stunning views and a cool place. So peaceful

Observations and/or conclusion: it’s my favourite place on earth and always will be. I’ve been going for 22 years and there’s still so so much I’d like to do on that island

I have a list and I’ll slowly be ticking things off forever. Going end of May for the first time was great. The temperature and weather for me was perfect. The island felt busy and everyone was happy. I was sad to leave. With the kids getting older I think 10 days and 2 week breaks will happen in the coming years

For me it’s the Paradise Island. My Happy Place

Dates you were there: last week in May

Where you stayed: Villa near San Antonio

Club nights visited: Pikes on Monday

Best night: Pikes. John Morales was outstanding and totally fitted the Pikes vibe. Great crowd in there too.

Worst night: N/a

Best bar: Didn’t really do any bars as with the fam.

Best place to eat: Sa Trinxa. Always impresses me how good the food is as they could get away with it being average (like two other beach restaurants we went to). Usually have some seafood but tried the lasagna and it was fantastic. (Also enjoyed Rita’s and Tapas thanks to recommendations on this forum.)

Best beach and/or beach club: Sa Trinxa (as always.) Amazing tunes for JST’s first gig this year. I saw on social media earlier this year how he was looking forward to playing Forms of Love at Sa Trinxa and it was perfect when he played it (twice!) Diving off that jetty after a jug of sangria and dancing on the beach is of one of life’s great pleasures.

Money spent: Haven’t checked but it felt like quite an expensive trip with two hungry kids in tow.

Biggest regret: being back at work ☹. And that our trip didn’t coincide with a Melon Bomb set or a strong Defected line up.

Going back?: Of course!

Top tip: As posted elsewhere, the taxi Whatsapp was excellent. Waited 10 mins once (busy time coming back from the beach) but otherwise they were at the villa in less than five minutes every time.

Observations and/or conclusion: First time in May and I would definitely return then. The weather was perfect – not a cloud all week. And the venues were really nicely busy but not too crazy. (Although the sunset strip fizzled out earlier than I remember from September after the sun went down – maybe down to more families in May. And soooo many hen dos at Mambo!)

It was nice to visit some new beaches (Cala Bassa, Cala Tarida and Port des Torrent) but none are a patch on Salines (although there was lots of smelly seaweed piled up – not seen that before).

Dates you were there: 9th - 16th June

Where you stayed: hotel cent, can’t fault it, never an issue with getting a sun bed. Stayed self catering. Little tip if you’re staying self catering, try and request room 55, it’s right next to the entrance to the pool, really convenient.

Club nights visited:

Monday circo loco - dc10 and sonny fodera - Pacha
Wednesday disco disco - pikes
Thursday boiler room - Amnesia
Saturday flower power - Pacha

Best night: Boiler room, good crowd, good music, everyone seemed to be really enjoying the night. The night was very much about the music, no real visuals. Both rooms with the DJ booth on the opposite side of the room to the usual layout.

Worst night: probably Circo, just wasn’t feeling it, terrace was impossible to get into, sound just wasn’t hitting the spot, vocals were almost imposssible to make out.

Best bar: sunrise

Best place to eat: don’t remember the name, found a great Asian place above jungle bowl in figueretes.

Best beach and/or beach club: es Cavallet

Money spent: honestly no idea, hotel was around 1300€ car hire and flights around 500€ spending somewhere between 1500€ and 2000€

This trip was very much about not counting the pennys for once, in the past I’ve always been budget conscious, this time we wanted to eat and drink out as much as possible. Spent a fair amount at the hippy market to

Biggest regret: non

Going back?: absolutely this was the best trip in several years, looking at the end of October next year

Top tip: definitely worth getting the drinks packages. We did for pacha and amnesia, we booked the sonny tickets right at the last minute on the first night and drinks packages were still available.

Observations and/or conclusion:

There are absolutely still lots of ways to do things cheap if you want to, Ibiza town though does seem very expensive now, sunrise Mona Lisa and the roof top bar above what was Angela’s have all got really expensive, nice for one or two drinks but to spend the night there drinking is expensive. Really sad to see the gay scene what it’s become, seeing the area next to Mona Lisa completely empty was such a shame, it will be interesting to see what happens there in the future with that entire building up for sale including Lola’s. Speaking to lots of the owners/workers in that area they all felt the same, the gay scene was really struggling.

Glad you enjoyed your trip.. We felt / feel the same about the Gay scene, the magic of the Lola's area, expensive like all that area. I spoke about it on here before how times have changed.. We stay in Fig also as still retains the older / local vibe.. Vi is the Asian place you're referring too as we also found it in September last, and we venture again this September.

Ah yes that’s the one really couldn’t fault it service and food spot on it was really interesting speaking to some of the owners about the scene, a few people suggesting matinee leaving was the final nail in the coffin. They were hopeful it could be turned around though too

Even La Troya is at Playa Soleil, so not ideal. Its still mad to think in such a liberal place like Ibiza, the scene is now so small / limited. BUT you never know what will start a fresh!

Extremely late review…

Dates you were there: 11-16 May

Where you stayed: Ryan’s Lola’s San An Bay. Really nice hotel. First time I’ve ever stayed in the bay and probably wouldn’t stay there again, but the hotel was spot on.

Club nights visited: Glitterbox, Circoloco, Pikes

Best night: Glitterbox. Have been to Ibiza 10+ times but never been to Glitterbox, didn’t really think it would be my scene but loved it. Dj Fat Tony was 10/10.

Worst night: Circoloco. First time I’d been to DC10 since 2014 I think. Nothing like I remembered. My girlfriend had been since then and said I’d hate it if that’s the last time I went and she was right

Best bar: Not a bar as such but Ses Savines next to O Beach. Pints are about €3,50 and vodka mixer wasn’t expensive at all. If you’re on a budget and looking for a cheap place to drink I’d definitely recommend. The music is a bit hit and miss depending on what you’re after - they were playing stuff like Dido and Darius which I’m 100% behind but can’t imagine that’s everyone cup of tea 😂

Best place to eat: Kashah lovely as usual. Tried that €1 taco place in Ibiza Town and they were a lot better than I expected

Money spent: Not a lot…

Biggest regret: Only 5 nights

Going back?: 100% - 6th to 10th October looking more likely

Top tip: Vodka in drinks pouches for the clubs

Observations and/or conclusion: Read a lot that it’s not what it used to be and I do generally agree but we do tend to always romanticise the past. It’s Ibiza and it’ll always be magical.

If you’re skint - still go. It can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. My top tip above might seem trampy but if you’re struggling or even just not willing to pay for drinks, there are alternative ways..

Dates you were there:

The last week of May.

Where you stayed:

We stayed at Blau Park in San Antonio. Second time staying here and we really like the place.

19afd9a3-8dc0-474e-8d75-5f381c3e95cb.jpeg

Club nights visited:

Just the one, we had a bit of an escapade down to Ants Ushuaia. Check the other thread 😄 A good time was had.

Stepping into Ants the place was already buzzing. A DJ called Manda Moor seemed to be warming the crowd up nicely with some classic tracks. She played that Armand Van Holden track ‘I Want Your Soul’ and it sounded so good in the sunshine. Crowd were really digging it.

Another DJ that I thought was really good was a guy called Cloonee. He seemed to know what the crowd wanted as well. At one point he played this track called ‘Stephanie’. I’d heard it before on the radio and didn’t actually think it was that good of a record. But everyone in the crowd seemed to be reacting really positively to it and it actually sounded awesome 🙌 totally changed my mind on it.

He actually played another real belter of a tune but I can’t for the life of me find it. I imagine it’s one of those DJ ID tracks that you can never find anywhere. Why god, why 😭

Best night:

Ibiza town.

Wait! What?

Yes, Ibiza town. Oh my god what has happened to me. We put some smart clothes on and caught the bus down into Ibiza town and walked around like a pair of absolute middle aged tourists (which is exactly what we are actually) sipping cocktails and talking to random people. Popping in and out of different bars drinking wine (yes wine, wtf) and cocktails.

Just walking around the harbour you see amazing yachts that would make a premiership footballers ego look modest. I felt like a very poor man, totally ashamed of my 8 year old VW Golf and my 3 bedroom ex council semi in post industrial Wallsend on Tyne.

Then there’s the Dalt Villa. Cobbled streets, medieval walls, history bursting out of every corner. I half expected a knight to gallop past on a horse and shout “VAMOS”. Charming and idyllic, the place stops you in your tracks and demands you to appreciate it.

I find it majestically picturesque with an olde worlde feeling around it. But with this underlying feeling that this isn’t just any sort of Mediterranean Old Town. No, this is Ibizas old town! As if there is a subconscious feeling coming from under the pavement that you are walking around a musically charged town and everyone is connected with some kind of love for dance music.

And the people, good lord the people. They are all either impossibly good looking, impossibly wealthy, or impossibly confused which decade it is. What an incredible mix of fashions going on. Guys cutting around in leather trousers and string vests without a care in the world, sipping Mimosa’s. Latin looking women in sparkly hot pants and high heels strutting along the street with natural rhythm and pace. People that look like they aren’t seeking anyone’s approval, just confidently owning their own bit of space.

And as the sun starts to go down the whole place just becomes that little bit more cool. Music and restaurants everywhere and outdoor spaces alive with people enjoying the evening air.

What a place. I needed a good lie down after getting back to my hotel.

Worst night:

I’ve had some terrible nights in my 41 years on this sometimes nasty planet, but I can confirm that none of them have been in Ibiza.

Best bar:

Could have been any of the several that we visited in Ibiza town. I can’t actually remember the name of a single one of them as I was very slightly drunk. Additionally, we always enjoy the bar called Dunes in PDB. Itaca as well, that is in San Antonio, its a great place to sit with a cold drink and watch the world go by.

3af6908e-061d-4b3f-a3d4-75816beb82d3.jpeg

Best place to eat:

We aren’t big foodies so I can’t really comment here. We always seem to just eat on the go or grab a snack. I called into Fatso’s a couple of times, they make amazing wraps. The staff in there are great crack too. However, on our last night of the holiday we fancied a nice sit down meal somewhere, just to finish our trip off. We went to Davids in San Antonio and had an amazing fillet steak each. We had been here before many years ago. the place has been fully renovated and is looking great. Highly recommend 👌 Top tip: watch out with them little round tomatoes. My missus was a bit careless cutting into hers and it sprayed all over my white T-shirt 🤦‍♂️ I spent the rest of the night looking like a right muppet. She thought it was hilarious. Heard her telling her mate about it on the phone when we got home.

Best beach and/or beach club:

We visited some lovely beaches. We hired a jeep and got out on the road nice and early. My missus made us a picnic each day, bless her. There are some great roads to cruise along, the countryside is really something else out here. Whether its rows of vineyards next to country villas or those jagged roads that carve their way around the high ground, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

I think my favourite beach had to be Cala Vedella. Tranquil and looking like the most classic postcard style holiday beach I think I’ve ever seen. The beach at Portinatx was also amazing. I was swimming in the bright blue water and the fish were swimming alongside me, not even slightly bothered by my presence. Both beaches had fine white sand and rocky shorelines.

Whenever I hurt myself, like stub my toe on furniture or bang my shin, I always try and block out the pain by going to my happy place. My happy place is somewhere in my own imagination, that temporarily takes me away from the pain I’m feeling. These beaches are my new happy places 🌅

Special mention must go to that cliff top walk, that takes you along to the lighthouse at Portinatx. What a cool way to spend a morning, navigating your way along this rugged pathway. I really like this Portinatx place, we will definitely return.

Money spent:

I don’t honestly know.

Biggest regret:

My biggest regret is going home on Monday the 2nd of June, because that’s when our holiday ended. I really fancied going to UNVRS to see the Eric Prydz night.

I don’t feel too bad about it to be honest because we booked this holiday in the middle of winter so had no way of knowing what was going to be on the line ups. It’s just my luck though 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Going back?:

5th of August, booked and paid for. My missus is obsessed with this DJ called Dom Dolla and as soon as she saw that he was on at Hï Ibiza she started putting some immense peer pressure on me.

I buckled like a cheap metal coat hanger. Ibiza 2025 round 2 is literally weeks away for us.

Top tip:

I never feel like I have the wisdom, nor the experience, to offer any top tips to anyone on here. I mainly visit this site for awesome info hidden in the threads.

Although this year is the first time we’ve had enough money and time to have a proper week long holiday. Since 2019 we’ve only really managed to get away for weekend breaks and it can limit your activities.

I’d highly recommend getting out and exploring the island. Get as far as you can. There’s so much more.

Observations and/or conclusion:

I don’t know if it’s just me, but pretty much every time I’m getting close to visiting Ibiza I start getting this strange feeling that maybe this time will be my last. Somehow I won’t enjoy it and I will be quite happy never to return. I’ll be content in the knowledge that my Ibiza days are over and I’ll become one of those annoying people that always go on about “how good Ibiza was back in the day” and I’m done with it etc.

It’s actually quite the opposite, the place always seems to win me over again and each holiday gets better.

As for observations, I could go on and on. I wont bore you any more if you’ve read this far 😄 but we always meet some right cracker jacks in Ibiza and have some funny interactions. The island itself is a natural wonder and every holiday we have here is bolstered by the absolute larger than life characters we meet.

Where you stayed: Vibra Cala Tarida - not the kind of hotel i would normally stay, but i wanted to be in front of the beach so i could just walk there in the morning after checkout. Anyway the room was very nice and comfortable!

Club nights visited: Eric Prydz @ UNVRS

Best night: great set from Eric, as expected 😍 amazing visuals and audio quality for me was very good..a part from this i didn't like the club much, but it's just personal taste. Drinks, i just got 2 beers, tried to keep it simple and """cheap""" lol.
Crowd was a bit weird, many people just standing like zombies, not necessarily the ones taking videos, last hour i managed to go right at the front below the sphere, and the vibes were amazing, everyone dancing jumping and having a good time, lots of smiles 😄

Worst night: 0

Best bar: i only stopped at Raco Verd in St Josep for a coffee while waiting for the bus to the airport, really cute place, nice staff and they were playing Domino - OXIA 🔥

Best place to eat: got an amazing and cheap bocadillo with pavo at the Spar in Cala Tarida haha. no really it was very good!!

Best beach and/or beach club: so the logical choice would have been Cala Tarida, buttttt i wanted to go to the small one next to it with the fishermen houses, i ended up going to the one in between the 2...and OMG it's my new fav beach...i don't know if it has a name but i will call her Cala Tarideta🩵 it's super small and quite hard to get to, as there is no path and u just climb up and down the rocks (need to be very careful and good shoes)...but the water is amaziiiiiiing, not many people as it is hard to get to, and majority was from the few boats in front...i hope it remains too complicated to get to forever🤣

Money spent: not too much

Biggest regret: no regretsssssss

Going back?: next stop - August for Boris Brejcha at Ants:cool:

Top tip: always have some cashhhhh, couldn't get on the bus i was supposed to take to the airport (linea 9) cos when i got in and wanted to pay with card they told me the card machine wasn't working...so had to get a taxi.
I feel like this year is already super hothothot, i recently started adding some electrolytes powder to my water, and it really makes a difference, totally recommend it! the brand i use is "Liquid IV".

Observations and/or conclusion: ❤️❤️❤️

Was in this hotel at the beginning of june. Hotel is ok , so far. Food is ok ( more : very good ). Rooms are ok : Clean and a good bath.
Beach : Very nice. Beachbars , too.
Problem : Far away from everything. You need a car for to go anywhere. Bus is only until to 9 in the evening. Frequncy very low. At daytime its ok : Bus to San An is cheap and fast enough. Taxi is 25 Euro to San An. A affordable Hotel for families in my opinion.

Dont want to promote vibra hotels , but the ones I were , had food which was ok. Simple , but clean rooms. Similar guests. No negative surprises.
If you want luxury , you have to chose something different. Pikes is a fifferent world. But if you be the breakfast and the away type , its more than enough.

That beach out the front of Blau Park, Calo Des Moro, used to get lively in the wee hours. Maybe the police have put paid to that these days?

I didn’t notice anything untoward around here. Although I did notice the police patrol around the little road a few times.

I remember my first ever holiday to Ibiza with a group of mates, we stayed at the Costa Mar hotel (now called the WikiWoo). We always used to have a good laugh in this little area on the way home, always seemed to have people there. Seemed like a cool little gathering point. Music getting played on Bluetooth speakers etc. We went swimming in the sea one night. Wasn’t our greatest idea. A lucky lucky man stole one of the lads shorts. He was trying to steal his mobile phone 😄

One thing I never mentioned, is that I think I noticed a greater police presence this year. I don’t know if they’ve actually increased the numbers or anything, this is just my perception. Was even a couple of police officers out on foot in Portinatx. I saw them bollocking a scooter rider for going the wrong way down a one way street 🤦‍♂️.
