... Neighbors in Cala Tarida complain about odors produced by the treatment plant Cala Corral and smelly water that seems to come from the new treatment of Cala Tarida, which is not yet in place although it was scheduled to begin this month .

According to several residents and workers in the area, while dirty water runs near the Coral Sea and urbanization sometimes accumulates and pestilent puddles forming greenish, such as yesterday. "On Saturday he is stinking water down across the street, reaching to below" critical Fabianna Cassan, an Italian of 38 who lives in the place. "The strong smell begins at ten p.m. and ends at six o'clock, and we have to sleep with the window closed," he explains.

The residents of Cala Tarida "fought hard for the new treatment does not work yet," laments Lola Lopez, a Madrid who has spent 20 years installed in the area. "There are yellow spots on the cove where he used to bathe at night and it smells bad," he adds.

The same thought Pepe Ribas, 56, owner of a restaurant in Cala Tarida: "At night it smells so bad that I do not understand how my clients, if I were a tourist could not stand it," he confesses.

Waiting for solutions
They also complain about the situation other entrepreneurs and workers in the tourism sector. Francesca, who has a pizzeria near the marina of Cala Corral, believes that "it is not a good place for children to be because every summer smells like shit." "Sometimes I hear hotel guests complain that there are green spots on the beach in the afternoon," added Veronica meanwhile Colomer, who works at a hotel front line. "You come smelling salts smelling shampoo and Poop" jokes Colomer.

The Balearic Government took steps to build the new treatment of Cala Tarida in 2000. Sixteen years later, after various vicissitudes and a standstill of almost eight years, the bulk of the work is finished but the plant has not yet started work, even though it was scheduled to do so this month.

Currently the inhabitants of Cala Tarida and surroundings have four small sewage treatment plants, three of governance and private, which only give a good result in winter as they are prepared to treat wastewater from 5,500 residents but can not with 15,000 inhabitants are concentrated in hotels and apartments during the high season.

At the moment the solution to bad odors and discharges (even at sea, according to neighbors) of obsolete water treatment plants in the area is still not coming. The new treatment plant will supply 17,500 inhabitants of Cala Tarida, Cala Codolar, Cala Moli and Cala Llentia.

ive always wondered what is the significance was of these little piles of rocks I often see not only in Ibiza but in other parts of Spain?.....please enlighten me if you know?:(

Originally this are landmarks or trail marks to show places where something special is burried or just to show one the right way.
Bet no one realy knows what they are doing.
