Staying at Ushuaia 2017

I am thinking of biting the bullet and staying 1-2 nights at Ushuaia this season. Main reason to secure a room which has a view of the stage.

I have searched high and low even emailed the hotel with no response trying to find out if the Double superior room (Club) has a view of the stage.

I have read that it should say Double superior (Club) - Stage view however when looking on the actual Ushuaia website for any month March,April,June,July there is no room type listed as above.

All I can find is Double superior (Club) nowhere does it list stage view.

So can I ask anyone that has stayed there before did you specifically book a stage view room and if so did you do this through the Ushuaia website or booking.com/expedia etc.

Appreciate any insight. It shouldn't be this hard!

For all those wondering the (Stage View) rooms are not yet available on the Ushuaia website. They responded to an email I sent them and stated the stage view rooms will be available to book in the next few weeks.

Big thanks to DelMarSunset who has provided heaps of info on staying at the hotel.

Cheers

Im sure they'll wait to see who playing and price the stage view rooms $$$$$$$ to those popular nights..

Yeah exactly. Problem for us being they won't release the line ups and nights until March/April although normally the same nights for the regular acts.

With the rooms being available well before the line ups are released to avoid missing out I might just have to book and hope for the best.

Make sure you know what you are getting. Someone I know gets put up 3 nights every summer due to work connections and said the rooms are pretty skanky / run down and the service around the hotel is awful.

I was actually prepared to go all out as a once off and pay 7-800 euros but 1749 is insane for one night with most people saying the rooms are all old and the place is very run down now. A balcony view of the stage is not worth that much in my opinion.

I posted here as I wanted to do something different for my Birthday. Purely to get a good view of the act im watching, drink on the balcony and not wait ages every time I want a drink and be able to actually move. If you have been to Ushuaia you would understand how crowded it gets. If you don't have anything worthwhile to contribute then I'm not sure what you doing replying here.

It's your birthday, go out,get on it,and have a smashing night. Don't waste hundreds of pounds sitting on a balcony watching an overrated plonker.

Now that's constructive. All my posts have been,Whether you've realised it or not.?

I understand the point of having your drinks nearby and not having to wait every time you want to top up on booze. if you're a big drinker I get that point. I also understand the point you make about having more space. but what I don't understand and honestly couldn't disagree more with is 'watching the act'. it's a goddamn DJ that, in the case of ushuaïa, mostly really is just pushing a few buttons. you don't WATCH DJs, you DANCE and LISTEN to them. and if you're on your balcony you're not actually part of the dancefloor which is where the magic happens. I understand people quickly go to their rooms to have a drink, use toilets, have a quick breather. but staying there all evening, staring at the stage....I really don't get that.

Having the option of hitting the dancefloor and then being able to come back up to the balcony is golden.

I would also save a heap of time not lining up for drinks considering August is hot as f*** and I'm having a night out.

Maybe it's me but I usually do watch. I don't stand there with my back to the stage. Majority of the time anyway. Not to say I'm not jumping around losing my shit either of course.

Kolsch is an overrated plonker? Axwell an overrated plonker? Not in my book.

that point I'll give you.

true, but on the other hand I've met some fantastic people while queuing at the bar. socializing and meeting new people is a big part of a night out and on the dancefloor and at the bar is where it happens my friend.

as a proper raver, this is a no go. I'm not saying you can't have a quick look at who's playing, but actually watching the DJ, if you're not a tech nerd (at ushuaïa they're too far away anyway so you can't see what they're actually doing), is just wrong. where's the 'having it with your friends' bit?

I haven't said that...? kölsch is a really good producer and an OK DJ. axwell I respected 10-15 years ago, but have completely lost interest in him.
