Space Closing 2016

Well after a shocking start to the night, waiting 3 1/2 hours to get in, the horrendous crush of a queue, people being sick, fitting and passing out in the queue and two of my mates f***ing off home half an hour after we got in, Space was well worth the wait. Sasha was a personal favourite. Loved solomun playing Kate Bush running up the hill and Roger Sanchez doing another chance. Erick Morillo was fab. And of course coxy!! Gutted I missed Steve lawler due to that bastard queue but what a boss night. Stayed till 10am and went straight to the airport to get my flight home. Memories forever. Oh yeah, who was it who played Imagine in the main room?

Solomun was at pacha at that time.

Solomun played the terrace at 8am and what a set it was, absolutely amazing track selections as usual with Solomun. He doesn't seem to ever disappoint.
I missed him, so tired was in there for 12 hours...what an incredible night

Does anybody know who was the "Surprise Live Act" from 02:00 to 02:15 in the Flight Area? I was in the Main Room and haven't been able to find out.

Great night, by the way.

I believe that was the thing with the choir singers... its on Be-At.tv

It was between the changeover of Erik Morillo and Carl Cox. Believe Coxy dropped it, unbelievable feelings

Just back from dc10 but space earlier is still very much in mind.

Someone mentioned earlier how busy it was, I really disagree. It was perfect. Plenty of room in many places. I've seen this club so much busier.

Talking of tunes played.. one of the highlights was cafe del Mar energy 52. I think fanciulli must've played it very much towards the end in the Discoteca. What. A. Moment.

Just woke up from an 11 hour post Space recovery sleep!

In hindsight, despite the fiasco to get in, probably one of my (if not the) best nights clubbing, ever!

Queued up for over two hours with a ticket whilst watching paying clubbers walk straight in was soooo annoying!! No organisation at all in the queue, people pushing in everywhere.

Got to the front and a security guard opened another gate for us (and about 50 other people), one of the paying gates. Shuffled through that bit to the desks and the guy there said we'd come into the wrong queue and tried kicking us out!! Called a bouncer over to eject us, he started ushering us out the side gate saying we'd have to queue again... almost had a crying girl breakdown at this point and begged to stay in. We'd already spent hours queueing and has been instructed through that gate by the door staff. Luckily everyone else in the queue behind us started waving their tickets around and shouting. Think the bouncer realised he couldn't eject 50 people without good reason so begrudgingly walked off and we ran through.

Not a great start to the night...

Once in, despite my fears that it was going to be hideously busy, I didn't find it too bad. Yes there were some points that it was stupidly busy, especially on the terraces for the big name DJ's. But I thought the main room always had a decent amount of space to dance. Barely queued for the toilets at all which was a relief! My friends went to Amnesia on Friday and actually said that was more busy than Space.

Managed to last til the very end, my feet are still numb this morning!! Was truly an amazing night - don't think I have heard such good music for so long, ever! Every room you went in was absolutely going off. The DJ's seemed to be loving it too, Zabielia was playing with a massive grin on his face the entire set. Morillo was simply in his element. Peasey & Blocko looked thrilled to be back. Seeing Coxy, Fanciulli and Pepe send us off with Angie Stone was emotional. Feel privileged to have that on my clubbing CV.
