I wouldn’t bother, it’s shite.
Don’t fall for Dirk’s humour. He loves Pikes and just doesn’t want anybody else going there sshhhh

This is a SHM thread not Pikes![]()
Love SHM, hope they play Ibiza Rocks Bar?
I think they're more suited to Mambos...![]()
Place? Shitecan you fill me in on what Pikes is like as a place? music? there a dress-code? free-entry? more of a bar than a club?
The DJ Harvey nights are shite too.
I stopped reading after that when my heart goes to 220 bpm. They're basically the Dance Music version of the Rolling Stones. Fair play to them as obviously a big pay day but from what I can work out via Twitter and a few blogs they didn't even 'update' any of their old tunes so seems a bit lazy but whatever... I'm sure our American brothers/sisters lapped it up.
I grew up in that Electro-House-y era of early 2000's and quite enjoyed Ingrosso & Angello individually, seeing both down Honey Club in Brighton a few times. Not really what I'm into now but can't really get wound up about it like some do!
Please give ABBAA some credit..Maybe the edm version of ABBA?
Place? Shite
Music? Shite
Dress code? Shite
Free Entry? Is it shite
More of a bar than a club? More shite than anything else
More Steps than ABBAPlease give ABBAA some credit..
Cox is full of sh#t 99% of the time.. on par with Pete Tong.. anything to not offend and to make extra bucks..
They used to play Mambos for their Pacha pre-parties ...nowadays it is probably unthinkable. I have seen them play individually 14-15 years ago many times.Would love to see them play Mambos.
From Popbitch:
Sweden's Eurovision hopeful, Benjamin Ingrosso, is a reality TV star. His family are like the Swedish Kardashians. And his cousin, Sebastian Ingrosso, is one third of Swedish House Mafia.
I honestly think you are a very bitter person.. perhaps there is something happened in the past that you have never let go..
Pete Tong has done more for Ibiza and its music based industries thant anyone person in or outside Ibiza.... promoting Ibiza, its instituitions and events and DJs associated with it to generations of people on the radio and prompting them to visit and spend money on the island and he continues to do so. He is a good DJ when he is at venues which give him the musical freedom to do so. Lets not malign the man for no reason apart from your ability to type on a keyboard.
As for Carl Cox... in what way is he full of S#$#?? That's an honest legitimate opinion... EDM being an entry point in to electronica... just like San Antonio is a cheap and less sophisticated entry level holiday destination to Ibiza. If not for it generations of kids would not have discovered Ibiza and come back more grown up and doing better and renting villas and boats and eating at the finer restaurants. EDM is catchy and with its drops excites and entices a younger pop oriented mainstream crowd... scratching the surface and digging deeper they will subsequently discover and develop more eclectic tastes.
