SHM back!?!?

Rumours again circulating that this reunion is back on for Ultra this week. Hardwell saying it is in an interview and their old lighting tech putting a pic on social media fuelling the fire.

If they do, in Ibiza terms we obviously still have Ushuaia yet to reveal most of their lineups, Pacha Tuesdays are a mystery and I reckon they could sell Privilige for a few dates.

I really hope this is some extravagant joke...

No it's just disappointing to see more of this nonsense in Ibiza. I'm all for people having a choice musically, but its the crowd this will attract.

erm...to be honest the artists didn't go away. they all had their gigs during the hiatus (as soloists or as axwell/ingross), now it's just the 3 of them together again. I don't think anything will change on the crowd front...

I used to love Swedish the first time around, saw them in Pacha Ibiza when I was 22, went to Amsterdam to catch them when I was 23, and good times were had by all. I've said it before, tracks like Leave the World Behind will always remind me of my first proper holidays to Ibiza, so many great memories are tied to some of those early tunes and I'll still give some of them a listen. They're not what I'm looking for in Ibiza in 2018 and I think their sound has really changed (not for the better), but I don't begrudge anyone else enjoying them, just like I did.

This is a fair point - we had a similar conversation in my group of friends this morning. Circa 2009 when we were 16-19 they were the stepping stone to dance music for us. It makes us cringe looking back now and I would sooner pull my toenails out than listen to / watch them again... but I do still have some good memories listening to them as a younger man, and I suppose if this is the entry point for people to experience dance music and then come across other artists as they mature then so be it.

However, their sound has not matured. They will simply be playing the exact same tracks they were 8/9 years ago and making a killing doing so.

It seems there will not be Axwell-Ingrosso or SHM this summer at Ibiza. But it also seems SHM are opend to new gigs together. Maybe after the summer, maybe next year, I think we will be sble to see SHM more times. And, for me, best place to see them is Ibiza. But it too early to know.

Now we only waiting for them to go on tour with Spice Girls:(:(:(
OR Milli Vanilli:p:p:p

They are bigger ticket sellers as a 3 than separately. Axwell Ingrosso were reduced to a few dates at Ushuaia not a residency last summer and Angello only really headlines lesser profile nights (like Sundays at Hi last year) together they would sell out a headline slot all summer or I reckon they could sell out Privilege for a date or two.

I think it'll be 2019 before we see some reunion dates though. This gig just boosts the profile and generates a few back catalogue sales and streams.

They're basically the Dance Music version of the Rolling Stones. Fair play to them as obviously a big pay day but from what I can work out via Twitter and a few blogs they didn't even 'update' any of their old tunes so seems a bit lazy but whatever... I'm sure our American brothers/sisters lapped it up.

I grew up in that Electro-House-y era of early 2000's and quite enjoyed Ingrosso & Angello individually, seeing both down Honey Club in Brighton a few times. Not really what I'm into now but can't really get wound up about it like some do!

Loads of people on facebook seem upset this morning. I'll be honest, I quite like them. Very much the commercial end of dance music (but then, I like the old Clubland sound).

Listening to the set now, seems they did some edits / mashup. Don't recognise the edit they did of Miami 2 Ibiza.

They remixed some, they put Axwell Ingrosso's 'Dream Bigger' in the middle of 'One' and the version of 'Dont you worry child' was new to me too. They also played some of their solo/duo material such as Angellos 'Remember'

They were between a rock and hard place with the setlist, if they didn't do the 'greatest hits' people would complain, but theyve also had complaints it was too similar to before they split up.

I liked it, but I understand the complaints about how commercial it all is and there was little to no actual mixing going on.
