San Antonio or Playa de bossa

Thought San An was really quiet last month for July compared to previous years. Feels like it's lost its mojo a bit...

Just back from a 10 day stint in San An, to me it was still as popular as normal with a real mixed crowd. Sunset strip was buzzing the times I went there.

Went to Bossa a couple of times, stayed there a few times in the past, it's always feels sterile to me, really don't like what Bora Bora has done to its bar either. The beach come 1630 is in a disgusting state, staggered by how much crap people are prepared to leave for others to clear up.

Plus and negs for both, really is personal preference, but agree a nice, top end hotel is needed in San An, it would lift the area even more.

Would love Es Paradis and Eden to get back to former glory but I can't see that happening ....

The sunset strip is as amazing as ever, I've travelled all over and still haven't seen a sunset location as good as there in terms of atmosphere.

Away from there San An town just seemed really quiet especially about the streets at night. Maybe it's Ushuaia and sankeys taking away people. When I think back to how it used to be 5, 10 years ago - it's definitely a lot tamer and a lot more controlled too.

Ushuaia has def hit west end. Thought this last couple years because if ur goin earlyish to ushuaia ur usually eating or lyin round pool rather than pre drinkin as u do b4 hitting amnesia etc. Likes of guetta hardwell axwell generally draw a younger crowd which is majority of west end, i like walkin round in n out of bars in west end tho and im 34. Always hav at least 1 or 2 nights bar crawling round it

Pacific next door to es pla is a really good hotel, stayed in there 3 times. Fair bit cheaper than es pla too.

I saw that place had good reviews and considered it but back in February it was all booked up for July already!

Compared to June last year, July wasn't THAT much more busy. I was fine with it. I guess August is the real test.
