San Antonio or Playa de bossa

Marian apartments are decent too.

Large and airy. Quiet location but within walking distance to all the usual spots.

Good pool and bar. Staff excellent.

Stayed there last year, great base. Nice pool and not too expensive drinks. 10 min walk to west end.
Last 3 years ive stayed in it. Staff all really helpful and as u say pool is nice not 2 expensive. Handy to walk round back past eden and on2 promenade as well

Ok ive decided that ill be staying around San Antonio. Anyone have a recommendation of which hotel i should book? Somewhere close to the party scene.

I stayed at the Tarba Hotel. I would stay there again, I expect it's loud during high season but who cares! The rooms have been recently refurbished so are more modern than the usual brown rooms you get at cheap hotels.

Stayed in San An 8 times and Bossa 5 times over the 11 years I've been going to Ibiza.

Going back this year after missing the last 2 summers was a bit strange, I felt like San An has fallen away while Bossa has been built on to the point where it's the big money making machine it is these days.

Both resorts have got good and bad points but I like the San an vibe more. Just feels a lot tamer than the old days there...

I always use marco polo 1. Close to egg and everywhere and still quiet enuff for a sleep

I didn't find it to be that quiet. I had a single room on the first floor and I could always hear the music coming from the pool area after noon, when I'm still recovering. But more of the issue had to do with ppl unnecessarily slamming their doors and just being so loud overall in the hallways.

The location is great though, but in that location I'd probably go with Envisa Es Pla which is quieter and you can get a great rate on if booking early enough. Of course, the younger folks at Marco Polo is also a bonus as the Es Pla has more of an older crowd

The Gran Sol (nr Kanya and Mambo) is worth considering. I think it's more expensive but imo worth the little extra.

I had 3rd floor all times i stayed found it quiet n clean

If I had to choose San An it would definitely be the Abrat next to cala de moro, next to golden Buddah. Have stayed there over a dozen times and it certainly doesnt have any typical british riff raff so you will be guaranteed sleep

I'm travelling out for 4th time at end of month and I stayed in San An 3 times, however I did throw a week in at Hard Rock last year.
I'm once again opting for San An Bay this year as like many other comments the vibe I feel is better and with the likes of Mambo, Kanya, Golden Buddha you cant get anywhere better for Sunset and chill-out time.
The only negative for me with San An is that Hard Rock hotel is in PDB and I must say this was a spectacular place to stay and would just like to pick it up and pop it in San An - also Ushuaia being in PDB too :( - but nothing a bus/taxi wont sort out for the day visit.
:)

no way ill stay anymore in San an (housing there my 3 firts ibz trip along Dr fleming road 99 00 01)
Figueretas for ever!!!!! even i enjoy to have some rides there...but not many local restaurants in San An...
Ibz town, playa dem bossa, far better than some spots in san an, that looks so British (no offense, guys!)

yes but u got a free P close to el diario de ibz, another side of the main road, otherwise try to look for a street before carrer canaries on ur left, its what i do each time, dont want to take te risks to go further close to harbor...& look backwrd for a P place...
blue zone free only sunday & from 2.00p to 5.00pm then from 10.00pm to 9.00 am...don't forget as 45€ fine , it hurts& spanish Staff are already willing to give a fine 5mn to 9.00 am in the morning Ibiza f***in isla del dinero

Isn't parking the 2CV tres difficile around there ?
It certainly is, was there in October last year and it was a nightmare. its easy to park up on the hill close to the town, or on the other side near to pdb and walk in

Pacific next door to es pla is a really good hotel, stayed in there 3 times. Fair bit cheaper than es pla too.
