San Antonio or Playa de bossa

I've been to San An 17 years ago and went back the first time this year pre season. I've been to pdb 17 times. Pdb is easier for clubbing and if you can't be bothered to travel the far end of the beach is a lot nicer than Bora Bora area. I would choose San An now if I was going in a holiday where I would rent a car and explore beaches etc and just a restaurant and couple of cocktails in the night, maybe go clubbing once, but for a pure clubbing holiday pdb is better and easier! I disagree that the west end is all San an has to offer after staying there again in May (I had previously thought I would NEVER return), but I think it's a better place for people who aren't into clubbing so much :)

Well my main purpose was pure clubbing holiday. Get f***ed up and run-a-muck if you know what i mean . Thats why im going to Berlin and then Prague cause apparently the nightlife is as good as Ibiza.

I wonder if people who have such a low opinion of PDB have ever used it as an easy base for Figueretas and Ibiza Town? Figueretas is an excellent lunching spot with all those menus of the day. That's pretty much my 'breakfast' if getting up late... I honestly struggled to find nice food at a good price in San An.

I've always stayed in San An so far, we did try to stay in PDB this year but after looking at the cost of the hotels in PDB compare to San An with the Taxi fare on top there was still a saving of £250+ per person with staying in San An and grabbing a taxi there and back for 4 nights (But booked the room for 5 nights due to flying back late).

After doing San San for about 5 trips running, my last 2 trips have been in PDB. I've not really had a problem, given most trips include 1x trip to Space, 1x to DC10, 1x Ushuaia and 1x Amnesia it feels like the money saved on taxis has been worth it. However whenever we've stayed in PDB, we've never made it over to San An and I kind of miss sunset area a bit and think there is a better choice of food around. I'm talking reasonably priced good food rather than anything spectacular.

Thoughts ?

This is my 1st stay in pdb this year after 8 straight years in san an. Still think ill spend few days/nights in san an as i love it but last year spent fortune on taxis goin to space ushuaia n bora bora

which places do you recommend ?

Any restaurant I've eaten in along that strip is good, and because there's a few of them (~10) there's price/quality competition, at least for menu del dia (~15E for 3 courses). I just take a wander and see what menu I fancy most on the day. Never had a bad feed there, and always pretty healthy too with options like gazpacho for starters/fruit for dessert.
