It's easy to forget that Ibiza is still a haven for less savoury types??

when does the "silly season" tend to start mckracken??

Don't you think anywhere in the world that is accessible by the worlds tourists, and there is a alcohol available, you are going to get some "less savoury types"
The authorities in San An take a realistic view of what they have and what the bars & clubs have to offer. Compared to a large number of other resorts in the Med the policing is experienced and extremely well executed. The bar and club owners are as equally experienced and give people what they want.
The island has a lot to offer, and unlike Ayia Napa it is prepared to change and control. Just in the music available, there is a wide selection from the expected House, Trance etc... thru' R&B, UKG, to rock, and they are all available within a very small area of San An. What more could you ask for, oh San An has a world famous free nightly attraction, and I'm not talking about the fountains on the prom.

Keep an open mind and you will be rewarded. Enjoy :D

Old Town Hall Could Become Police Station.
With the residents & businesses in Sant Antoni always complaining that people do not report crimes because it is hard to get to the local police station or the Guardia Civil quarters on the outskirts of town, this week the authorities said that they were studying setting up a police post in the old town hall building in the heart of the town. It appears that the idea is to staff this installation with police who normally occupied the sub station at the end of the sea front promenade in Punta des Moli. This sub station has apparently not been too effective in fighting crime or helping residents or visitors report crime because it is neither easy to reach from Sant Antoni or from the bay. When the old Town Hall is set up as a police sub station in Sant Antoni, the Punta des Moli sub station will be most likely moved, at the request of the Bay Bar Association, to a new location in the centre of the Cala de Bou tourist region to better serve this area of the island.
Old Town Hall Becomes Police Substation.
The old Town hall in the centre of Sant Antoni opened as a police sub station where residents & tourists could go to report crimes & incidents this week. The station will be open between 09h & 15h in the afternoon everyday until September. Though this is a move in the right direction, the sub station should, in our opinion, be open 24 hours a day all year round as crime has no opening hours!
